Magnolia × alba is widely cultivated as an ornamental in Asia, particularly tropical and subtropical regions of China and Southeast Asia for the strongly fragrant flowers.[5] An essential oil is extracted from the flowers. In China, where it is known as bai lan (白蘭), the flowers are used to prepare yulan tea.[2] In traditional Chinese medicine, the flowers are used to move qi and relieve cough.

A very skilled gardener but 1) the music is too loud and 2) for non gardeners, they don’t know what this video is about. And 3) should have a camera stand or get someone to hold the camera.

hi, i have this plant and now the leaf of this plant is shedding and i am noticing that the leafs appear to be eaten by some pest, but after searching their was no pest observed. kindly help to save my plant and guide what is the best way to take care and provide manures to this plant.

In my experience, too much water or too dry the leaves will shred. Usually too much water, when we love the plant we water it all the times. By the way, I never see a pest to threaten this plant.

U can try banana peel fertilizer for this plant it gives excellent results..u will see the difference in less than one week

+Pass The courvoisier , I would have to agree with you, V graft was not even sealed with anything...No Replies from Chauc means it was probably BS to start with..

Watch the video closely. The plant in the pot is the one that was grafted. The loose cuttings were to illustrate the way the parts fit together, since he does not verbally explain it.

Champaca will not survive the graft

Both of mine are grafted, and both bloomed in their second year. Neither is over 2 feet tall, and are growing in 10" pots. I occasionally have to prune off shoots that develop below the graft. I've had these for about three years now, purchased from Logee's Greenhouse. Unfortunately, they no longer propagate them, but other growers do. Grafting is the primary way to increase this plant, since Michelia x alba rarely produces seeds, and cuttings are very difficult to root without specialized equipment.

Air grafting is #1 , my tree gives me 100 of seeds that will not germinate...,I have never seen a successful graft,what special tools are needed?
