Oh that was me at 18 ..my first really big panic attack in the mall alone ...then it led into agoraphobia. Monophobia , no driving or going out alone by 19 , 20 enter anxiety med ...now decades later this from the med on top ...
Love you Michelle and Helmut! Great reminders how to approach the thoughts when in fear. The Dare response alongside a few others like Freedom from fear is based on the late wonderful Claire Weekes! So many people suffer but dont need to!
I love DARE and Michelle! It took me awhile to fit the pieces together that the DARE approach is effective for so much more than just the typical anxiety symptoms…but really anything MindBody. It’s so helpful ❤😊 great interview!!
I like it very much that Michelle has her own personal experience with this stuff! But the one thing I like more about Helmut's approach than the DARE app is, he doesn't hold hands, he is just like do the work or don't, its up to you! No excuses. This is just how I like it. Great interview guys!
I love when i see a new video pop up. Great interview and i love the little fear stuffie doll 😂. I will think of him when symptoms flair. No way im going to be afraid of a cute, furry, stuffed animal 😊
@WordsBloom thats resistance. It's a coping mechanism. What you resist persists. Thoughts will also get ya in the now. Take away the resistance and allow them to be there. That takes away the fight. Inner battle. Resistance. Allows the baseline to come down. Less alarms. Nervous system calms.
Anxiety is often physical symptoms. All this stuff is the result of a sensitized nervous system. DARE is a really great program for reducing nervous system sensitivity.
@chrisduncan3943 I feel very dizzy in my days off..I got tension on the muscles of my right side of my body ( neck back shoulders hips calfs..) and this tensness gives me a lot of uncontrollable weird sensations.. The thing is I know that it's caused by sensitized nervous system but the symptoms are present and can't ignore them. ..sometimes just turning my head to one side gives me dizziness.. Any tips? Thank you
