I can't control my tears watching every time Mrs.Michelle Obama.I am not from black community but as a brown girl I understand the hardship and ik its 10x more hard on ground reality.And women like Mrs.Obama as a representation and inspiration is so so so much necessary for womenof colour.And not only for black women but brown,asian even white women every women on earth specifically should need an inspiration and a role model to look upto like Mrs.Michelle Obama❤️

This is great. She's not speaking on TV or making a speech in front of thousands, she's talking to 30 high school girls. Giving her time and effort, answering their questions, and giving them her respect. Class ! 😀

Imagine how wonderful the world would be if black women were given the respect, love, attention and TIME they deserve. We all owe them so much. Their patience and resilience in the face of adversity is inspiring and their strength is an example to us all

As you look at those faces you just have to wonder how many lives are going to be changed, inspired, or amplified because of the inspiration that is Michelle Obama. It really almost makes you tear up. Man I miss having someone of character and with dignity leading our nation.

What a truly wonderful experience for these young ladies. I know someone in the comment section will say 'why were there only black and brown girls invited?' It can't be denied that American society doesn't always value and care for kids of color, while white kids always have the benefit of their inherent privilege, so it is so important for our black and brown kids to have these experiences with roll models who are specifically looking out for THEM. That said, Obama and Oprah have done a lot of good for all kinds of people, not just minorities. I'm just pointing out that our black and brown kids deserve better than America have given them and these wonderful roll models are showing them that they matter as much as anyone else in America, which is a message they don't always get form the institutions that should be encouraging them.

All of these girls are beautiful. I love their naturalness. I love the questions they asked the first lady (yes...I still refer to Mrs. Obama as such). I love their genuine surprise and happy tears when she and Oprah walked into the room. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Damm Michelle went through all the same kind of criticism that trump and melania did but you would never have known how those hurtful things made them feel at the time. Barack and Michelle bravely faced the hypocrisy and criticism with smiles on their faces and with good will in their hearts. They were their for every body but everybody was against them but they never went low!

What incredible role models for these girls and how special it was for Oprah and Michelle Obama to create this moment for them that they will be inspired by and remember for the rest of their life AND, perhaps most importantly, the empowerment that they saw will inspire them to see themselves in these roles in their own futures. I'm listening to Becoming on Audible and as good as the book is, to hear it told in Michelle Obama's own words and voice is even more inspiring.
