People that she's being questioned about, have tenured positions... They've been teaching staff at Columbia for decades. This woman has been the University President for less than a year. I have the feeling she hasn't known about the anti-semitism. Either that, or she's a really good actress. You can definitely tell she's embarrassed by this, as she should be.

Claudine Gay didn't celebrate any such thing. She didn't like the man-handling, being forced to say what the other wanted her to stay. That's coercion. University presidents would be very sensitive to coercion techniques and would resist them. I don't blame Claudine Gay one bit.
