Thanks for all the updates Daniel. You are helping this system with getting the attention it deserves by a lot of people. There are some weird stutters in the dvr. Is it caused by the dvr or the drone or is it present in live feed as well.

got to fly my beta hdzero back to back with a friends dji runcam mipi and have to say its getting really close especially if you have some good oled goggles.

I fly wings at 100 plus feet, I see very little difference between SB and good analog like phoenix 2 ratel 2. I own booth SB and DJI and can say dji is far better, however the dji goggles don’t fit my narrow head well so I fly sb on my quads.

Does the MIPI cable from the original SB camera work? That is, can I just swap this new camera into an existing build with the stock MIPI cable? And the settings menu... if I'm using the SB system stand-alone (without a flight controller attaching because it's a Pixhawk running PX4) how can I adjust the camera settings? Does the little joystick that plugs into the vtx still work?

I still fly analogue, but Shark Byte is looking very interesting. This camera seems pretty good. Is there an improved vtx in the works to complete an updated system?

I've got a horrible feeling that as there's only 1000 going on sale in the first batch, they'll sell out immediately and I'll miss my chance to get one despite waiting for weeks and weeks for these to release... :(

I have been a loyal Runcam user since I started building my own quads 6 years ago. GREAT cameras. Except their two biggest flaw. They ALL come defaulted set up for INDOOR static use for like home security. Second is they change the bios EVERY model and it seems every other release they go back to more control. If they got back to using the functionality of the Microswift 2 bios and STOP defaulting to a non FPV setting they would get more people who don't know better to use their gear. The day night function is retarded how long it takes to change so I balance it out where the camera actually does NOT change and can fly in and out of dark shade right directly into the sun with zero change and still not get blasted with a screen washout or forever black screen. If you cut the colors down to a third of their default and drop saturation until what you see in the goggles is what you see in the field they are AWESOME cameras and very versatile and reliable. With those changes I don't fly around trees I fly IN trees and can easily see all the scraggle without HD. Their presets or defaults are total garbage. Been telling them for years but they don't seem to listen even after giving documented differences.
