DJ AG you should be going home the same day. Unless you have a late surgery time. If you have a tear in your dura you stay overnight. But that’s a 4-7% chance. Good luck, I hope you feel as great as I did afterward!!
Megan Thompson hi, I must say what a trip. My core feels very weak but I can still walk but need help by cane and a person just in case. I feel like a wobbly plank that can give out any sec. other than that getting stronger day by day. Any ideas on how to cover the incision so I can shower ?
DJ AG my surgeon used a special tape that was water proof. I would call your surgeon they know best how they sealed your incision and different methods require different care. Glad you are walking even though it is difficult. Baby steps turn into big steps, have faith!!
Any tips for an older person going through this? Think of your mom, how would she do? Any tips would be great once your home. I go in tomorrow and will be in the hospital for 2 days. It's the hour drive home and getting up to go to the bathroom that I am wondering about. I don't have a sofa but 2 recliners. Any thoughts? Thanks
