This coax was designed in Moscow by Valery Shokhov&Co. First flight - early spring 2016. Empty weight ca.145 kg, hopefully will drop below 115. Test pilot - Dmitry Rakitsky (RIP, bro!).
Powerplant - Rotax-503, composite rotorblades.

Looks a "bit" like Stanley Hiller's XROE-1 built for the U.S. Army in the early 60's, but with a coaxial rotor-system. Very nice!

i like the counter-rotating rotors. Very nice. Solves that tail rotor problem. The only change I would make would be to put larger, more robust wheels on it, in case of needing to land in tall grass on a field or something of that nature.

@@kevinrichey1222 Dmitry Rakitsky died in a plane crash over Lake Teletskoye on February 12, 2017, on a Robinson R 66 helicopter, the alleged cause of the crash was a helicopter hit into downdrafts and a loss of the main rotor edge (LOW RPM)

There is BRS on gyros? I always wondered if there would be tangle issues with the propellers. I guess if you're in a situation where you needed one, you wouldn't care, and would rather have the option than not.

I loved flying that thing around on Far Cry 4! It was weird though, as it looked like an autogyro, but flew like a helicopter. At least the one in this video looks & flies like an actual helicopter. Very cool!😎👍

I just looked at their site. They are selling only the regular model, not any of the other specialized models yet. I guess they got everything in order. No price is given however, you have to submit a request.
