NO its NOT a military weapon. Its illegal to own or possess by any military in the world. The Geneva convention states a maximum of two edges on any blade. To be caught with it is life in prison for a military person

The Cyclone is a copy of the Jagdkommando...I don't believe it is licensed from Mircotech.

It looks the same and will do the same job at a substantially reduced price...like $49.99 as compared to hundreds of dollars which is stupid for any knife...hell I could buy a gun instead for the price of a Jagdkommando !

M48 is a cheap knock-off

I have both so I can tell you a bit. It depends on what you are looking for. If you want something to just mess around with for a good while then the M48 is a decent choice. It's lighter and easier to use. On the other hand, if you want something that will last a long time and cause some real damage to whatever you're doing (Not even going to ask) then the Jagdkommando is your best bet. However, I have two and only use them to practice combat and to admire. They are a bit on the heavy side and are a pain sometimes to clean but I absolutely love them. Also, the M48 is way more affordable, since these may cost you an arm and a leg, though it's not a waste of money by any means. It just depends

In most areas _daggers_ of any kind are not legal to carry. Owning as part of a collection is usually exempt but as the other comment states it is best to check your local knife laws.

@@1953SM Nah, a gun wound can be stitched up and the doctors can actually have a chance to stop the bleeding but the triple edge of the knife makes it so hard for doctors to stitch up the wound that there is pretty much nothing they can do with that sort of tri-edged wound unline a circular bullet wound.

They make a titanium version however this specific one is stainless steel.

To be fair, I doubt this was intended as a survival knife. If anything I'd say this would be a wetwork knife, but even then is...well...kinda useless for most tasks. You wouldnt be able to quietly remove sentries, or...well whatever else our ultragigga tier 0 operators do with knives

@@e36fanatics that's why I'd say it's pretty useless. Stabbing is a very bad way of removing a problem. Every amount of hand to hand and close quarters training I have ever gotten reiterates that you need to stab through the throat with the sharp end towards the spine and pull, using the blunt edge to tear rather than slice, it causes more damage and prevents a clean wound that causes whistling as the enemy tries to breathe. The only time I would see this being effective is if it was used to attack the lungs or heart which is still a slow way to kill and isnt even a guaranteed kill, unless you puncture the heart. BUT the actual Microtech version has a screw off sheath that would make the knife entirely too hard to deploy in a CQC or hand to hand senario. Thus, pointless as anything except a wall hanger

More “proof of concept” design than practical application. There is a reason Fairbairn-Sykes and similar designs are still in use today and not much different from ancient daggers.

That's not how the Geneva convention works. If you happened to be a member of your country's armed forces and deployed in a military conflict then this would apply. The geneva convention only applies in time of war/conflict. That's why companies can sell these, they don't violate the Geneva convention because they are not being used in a war.

Don't know much about international law but in most places a single edge might be enough to get you into some hot water so this is a definite no for me. =)
