Join me as I have a look at the M48 Cyclone a clone of the Microtech Jagdkommando. Also we'll do a stab test. We've now done a more extensive newer review and tests. Here's the link! • The Deadliest Knife in...
Well if you want a knife that is build to kill, you are probably a psycho bro. Otherwise what's the purpose of that knife? To cut steak, watermelon, apples?
It only has one purpose though, stabbing (which practically any knife can do) I wouldn't want to carry such a big knife that lets be honest, is basically useless. I'd want something that was a better all-round purpose knife, something you could slash with etc., especially to consider it "the deadliest knife in the world"
The reason why it's so deadly is because the design of the blade let's in alot of air into the wound before the blade comes out..increasing the bleeding and size of the wound...also making it impossible to stop the bleeding without a professional surgeon.
@Garlic Bread It's blatantly obvious to anybody with a room temperature IQ and above. Toxic? 😂😂😂. You're obviously a leftist snowflake who is CLEARLY melting. Continue to entertain me meat sack. Calling you stupid would be an insult to stupid people. 😂👋
I COULD have defined the blade as circumvoluted or some such, but cycloney just felt right given the name of the knife lol. Who knows, maybe it'll catch on. Have a good one, and thanks for watching.
I think you would have to be strong and trained to use this effectively. It looks like there would be resistance going in, unless it was very soft tissue. Nasty little beast.
There is, the ones that spiral all the way to the tip are better as spears, ones that are straight or begin straight for a reasonable length are meant for stabbing like a knife
@@user-EvilAlatreon963 these stab just fine, proven by ever test on youtube....even from pushing from a start of having the tip against someone it will go deep even with ribs...and with momentum like a thrust, its plenty capable of a full blade bury....
I just found your channel and I'm super glad I did. I miss Maine so much but my wife won't move up there. My body may be stuck in Florida but my heart is still in Waldo County.
Always nice to hear from a fellow Maineah. At least its kind of the cool season for you guys down there at the moment. Welcome to the channel my friend.
It's a hardcore bloodletter; older designs in history were built so that the blade would break off and be left inside of a person. The way the blade was built was to exsanguinate (or bleed someone to death), hence the channel in the central axis of the blades.
@@reti-mj7qc no hes saying that hes been stabbed before, not from that specific knife but hes just emphathizing how much it would hurt from getting stabbed from that knife
I am not sure this would puncture a target as well as you may imagine it would. It would make a monstrous wound but only if it penetrates. I imagine a dual edged dagger would be more effective and foolproof.
The tri-dagger's problems all begin with that godforsaken twist. It lacks a proper cutting edge, and it's wide shape means that, as a slashing weapon, this thing is about one step up from paper cuts. It'll give your opponent some cool scars to boast about after they've gutted you, but that's it. But wait, the twist doesn't just ruin it as a slashing weapon, it also ruins its functionality as a stabbing weapon too! The blade is THICK. Really thick. It has to be to keep its shape when stabbing. And all of that thickness is going to reduce the depth and therefore the lethality of your stab. But it gets worse. That twist will turn any stab into a corkscrew motion, robbing the stab of force, breaking your grip on the dagger, and making it harder to pull out for a second stab. What does it have going for it? Triangular wounds are harder to stitch closed. Triangular blades are actually forbidden under the Geneva convention for exactly this reason. However, that doesn't make up for the rest of the dagger's terrible design.
It does not twist in the hand when used, the twist is to cut multiple times in the same are when going in then out and obliterating the flesh by the time its on its way out, and its not a triangular wound, unless triangles spin. “It has to be able to keep its shape while stabbing”, are you saying the knife bends when being used? What does that even mean. Have you ever actually stabbed something with one of these designs? I can almost guarantee you haven’t because if you have you wouldn’t have spent 30 minutes crafting that nonsense. Make no mistake this is one of the deadliest knifes out there
This is why I'm getting a better designed variation of this weapon, it has 4 blades (I'd prefer 3) and is straight for the first half of the blade, the point is thinner and gets thicker later, it spirals at the back so that it'll want to twist when you already got the depth
A redux is definitely in the plans where I will see what this thing does to meat with clothes on it. This was one of our early videos that DEFINITELY needs revisiting. I too am curious.
@@Totemparadox generally surgeons work in teams for about anything even if only one is actually operating others might view or assist in other ways, but yeah that stuff is to hype this wackass blade
Haven't cut myself yet lol. But I do agree, I definitely should have handled things a little differently. I'm planning on doing it kind of redux on this knife now that I have a little more experience on the channel and actually doing the next one with real world test like stabbing through Denim and into actual meat, maybe doing some throwing with it, and stabbing of some milk jugs and things like that. Something a little more exciting than a zucchini LOL. Thanks for watching man and have a great day!
@@umbrvalken Hey, if you're not livin on the edge... lol Check out this other video on my channel, and THEN you'll really be cringing lol. Thanks for watching and have an awesome day. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OyQo0lJrHBg.html
Do you know how to sharpen a spiral dagger? I have just bought two that were Damascus and one came in blunt. I’ve tried with everything I know but can’t find anything about trying to sharpen one, whether it be a wet stone, round rod, or even cutlery, though I’m pretty sure cutlery sharpener is dull..... I still can’t find anything about how to sharpen it. I’ve gotten the dagger tip sharp but not I’m not satisfied. Thanks and hope for some feed back or a link Lh
I wish I could be of some help but to be honest I wouldn't even know where to start. I pretty much purchased this one as a curiosity buy. Most of my sharpening I do is with a Worksharp belt sharpener. Good luck my friend, hopefully someone may be watching and reading that has a good tip.
Microtech one was made for a design bc it screws I'm. It suprised me when I foundIt was made as if display piece because it locks but you have to twist it. Yea the microtech one was made as a display case
It's just a literal twisting blade of the original trench knife of ww1, which was outlawed by Geneva convention I believe. It was outlawed then because the wounds can close on the surface but internal the damage is almost impossible to stop the bleeding and a twist almost of the blade once entered pretty much guaranteed death. Originals WW1 trench knives are rare to find
Don't be fooled, folks, weapons like these are not like your traditional knife which can be multi-purpose. This has no other purpose than to kill, be it animal or human.
they were never banned by The Geneva convention omg wy do people keep saying that even the bayonets are not banned the only bayonet the was banned was the german sawback bayonet you can Imagine why you're getting stabbed with a saw
@@beanalog8202 definitely a neat conversation piece but to be honest, for me, that's about it. I am planning on putting another (more fun) video of this puppy together with throwing, meat test, etc., but that'll be the only other time that I've used it .
If I were to design this i would make a battery knife like this and make it twist if you hold it firmly like a drill but the disadvantage is you can be heard if you use it so not so great for spies but I like one and keep it just in case something is wrong
@@TheMaineiacguy i remember something saying because of the wound it leaves being difficult to mend or something but nevertheless it’s still a beautiful weapon
Very true. It was a good curiosity piece so to say. We recently did a newer video where we tested it a lot more extensively and realistically. I put the link in this video description if you want to check it out.
There are lots of places online to purchase one. They are made by United Cutlery. If I remember right I got mine right on BUDK. And nowadays they actually have a lot more of a variety such as different colored ones and things like that, they even sell a shorter one now I believe.
This'll be a great blade for home defense. If you don't have a firearm and your intruder doesn't have one, either, I guarantee they'll get the "point" very quickly.
there not banned from the Geneva Convention they never have been this knife is not banned nether are the bayonets they only bayonet /knife that was banned was the the german saw back bayonet during ww1 because it caused Unnecessary suffering you can imagine why its a saw
@@micahcampa also it wasn't banned but repurpoused because of protests and the fact german troops caught with it would get tortured and brutal deaths for having it not banned "As a result of Allied soldiers began torturing and executing on-site any German soldiers captured with such weapons in revenge. Consequently, the German High command made a decision to recall all of the German sawback bayonets in 1917 and grind off the saw back edge before reissuing them to all units."
It's not the size that makes it lethal it's the triple blade 3 different cuts like a arrow head.similar to the 50p with Stanley either side cant be stitched.
@@Totemparadox Your very persistent with commenting on this youtube video. Curious if you have any proof for all the claims your making on the comments.
@@nalyddoow9295 Google "triangular wound stitching". I can try to link a few pictures and explanations, but youtube doesn't like links in comments. Also none of the geneva conventions talk about or ban triangular knives or bayonets.
I'm actually definitely going to do a part 2 video to this only this time I'll go through clothing into meat, actually try to throw the darn thing, smash a coconut, and generally do things a little bit more epic then stabbing zucchinis LOL
I really wish people would quit making videos that say deadliest knife or deadliest gun it’s not the weapon that’s deadly it’s the person that uses the weapon that makes it deadly in my fiancée’s hands a paperclip is deadly
You are definitely not wrong that the most devastating weapon in the world is the mind. If that is sharp, anything can be a weapon. Still with that being said, some weapons by design are inherently more dangerous than others. I mean , a .22lr rifle is dangerous, but a .50bmg is DEVASTATING. The right person can do some damage with a butter knife but a knife that is designed to make patching the hole it makes near impossible.... DEVASTATING. Just a thought. Thanks for watching and have an amazing day!
In a combat self defense situation against assailants these days whom many are high on drugs & demon possessed, you will want to make sure you have the best weapons available in that situation to end the threat. Id rather have this at my side against a bear attack type encounter instead of a "Politically correct butter knife".
I don't know how true your statement really is I'm going to put out there that I am a recovering drug addict I spent the better part of 15 years of my 26 on this Earth doing drugs and that whole time I have never A. Been possessed by "demons" B. Robbed anybody The only demons I was possessed by where my own personal demons And everyone I know who's ever robbed somebody while armed actually weren't high on drugsthey did it while they were sober because they didn't have any drugs and they needed someor they just didn't do drugs. And we're robbing to feed their families or themselves
That's what is made for. Inflict a deadly wound that you can barely treat properly. It looks cool, yeah, but it's not really useful for anything other than murdering someone. Also please only buy such weapons for the purpose of collecting and not to intentionally hurt a person. If it's for self-defense at home, it's okay but don't carry that thing outside.
In case you didn't know. These knives are a war crime to use because the are always a kill. Due to the twist, it needs a special team of surgeons to try to save someone stabbed by it.
Wrong on so many levels. It's not a war crime. Civilians can buy them depending on area and the wound is not impossible to stitch. Even then if you are stabbed the first thing to do is to stop the bleed with a seal, packing or TQ. Then you go and get stitched up.
@@Totemparadox hollow point bullets are a war crime, us US citizens are allowed to own them as self defense weapons though, likely the same with these daggers
@@user-EvilAlatreon963 If hollow points are a war crime then why is the US military already using them AND why is the new Sig M17/18 handgun being supplied with HP ammo? Answer, the usage of hollow points has long been seen as dubious in a military setting, but clearer heads are prevailing and the US military has pushed through multiple types of hollow points that are used in war ranging from 9mm to 7.62x51 and even up.
@@Totemparadox America ignores a lot of those treaty things to ban weapons, so for America it's legal just not for other countries or something? I don't remember the specifics
So far I killed 27 living dead and 138 Zombies with mine , I'm very satisfied , but that green guy on Venus gives it one Thumbs down , I cut the other Thumb off
Everyone is saying that this knife is meant for stabbing, but your supposed to LOOSEN your grip to make it work? That has to be dumbest shit I've heard.
The only reason this knife is banned in war and war only, is because it causes unnecessary suffering. This is a redundant combat knife that lacks an effective cutting edge, which a massive advantage in a combat situation. It’s very cool, but a knife wound is already extremely dangerous, and if you hit a lethal spot like an artery, it’s irrelevant whether or not it a clean wound, that’s a fatal injury. Like I said, badass, but people miss understand why it’s banned.
Wrong. The Geneva Convention addresses humanitarian treatment of others during war. Like prisoners and the wounded. Also this "dagger" isn't magic. Use your skull sponge for a second. It cuts and penetrates WHAT IT HITS. It will not do anything more that a normal dagger would. Actually this thing penetrates like shit when conoared to basic daggers and the edges are so dull that I think it might just glide over veins and organs seeing how they can be moved quite easily.
I'd LOVE to get my hands on one of those to try. Actually priced them out like three times but I just can't bring myself to spend the money. I actually saved up for one once but then ended up buying a rifle LOL.
Somebody drives it in your abdomen you wouldn't say that. Silly twit. You know nothing about what exactly this weapon would do to you when impaled with it. Idiot. ✋😂
@@JohnJohnson-kd2vp Wrong. What a knife does and what this killing tool does are two TOTALLY different things. You just don't understand the fundamental physics of it. You can survive being stabbed with a knife multiple times in the abdominal area and live. With THAT tool it will pull your intestines out when its pulled out each time. Leaving a gaping hole with your guts all over the ground. You don't fully understand what it does. That's obviously clear. Lol. It has ONE purpose only and it is a killing implement.
@@jdevilist You do realize it's not actually that useful? Sure it's a weapon, but anything considered a weapon can be lethal. If you take a twisted knife and stab it straight into a target, you get substantially increased drag, which means shallower penetration. So while it would, in theory, make a much nastier wound when used for stabbing, in practice, it would require more force to drive it into the target. And while it would likely make a nastier soft tissue wound, that’s not an efficient sort of attack. The whole point in a thrusting attack is to get deep enough to strike a major artery or organ, and this design is nowhere near as efficient as more conventional designs. Moreover, the twisted edges make it just about useless for any sort of cutting attack. PS. If you want an actual ''deadliest knife'', then the WASP Injection Knife would probably better serve that purpose.
Can I obtain a tactical spear made with this attached to the business end? Just askin' for ...a friend..yeah a friend. I would assume a circumferential handle would best to allow a more user-friendly twist on the way in and out would be best....right!? I think that's what my friend would prefer. Lol. Seriously though, is that available anywhere? I'd never thought about until I saw this video...but I think I'd like to have the spear version if available with the circumferential handle ad mentioned. I look forward to serious responses either of like mind or able to navigate me in the right direction. JESUS once told his followers to sell their coats and buy swords and as one of HIS followers I'm inclined to follow up with a spear as it's more orthopedically friendly in my case.
Hey thanks for checking out our video. Yes I'm quite sure that they are actually available now in different sizes and also in a spear configuration . I'm pretty sure you can find them right on Amazon as well as other places if you just type in M48 Cyclone spear. I'm willing to bet that spear would be loads of fun.
