I’m advocating for what would be an “Ultratech 115”. 15% larger. I buy that with a quickness!

I like that idea

Do they have a lot of blade play and wiggle that's my only concern about them and the heat treat which I doudt I could tell if it's bad or not

I can test the heat treat in my followup but this is microtech we’re talking about. Cobra tech and the like are the ones I’d worry about As for blade play there is a bit, but that’s completely normal for this mechanism. It’s not on a pivot, there’s absolutely nothing to worry about. I’ve stabbed each one of these into a 2x4 multiple times and they don’t collapse for anything. I actually feel that this mechanism is maybe even sturdier than a liner lock etc

@@TheOpinionarium thanks for the quick response I hope I raise the money to obtain one or two in the near future they look amazing. It would be crazy awesome to see what's the HRC on these blades

@@outkast_xiii670 I will test it in my next video, though I would keep in mind that it’s well known that they don’t harden them to the top limit. This is because of how violent the mechanism is. Think about how hard it snaps out and in, and it’s meant to endure that thousands and thousands of times. If they hardened the steel to its top it would be more brittle, and thus more likely to suffer a fracture and snap later on. I think sharpening a little more often is worth the trade off, though I still haven’t had sharpness issues and I’ve been using mine non stop

@@TheOpinionarium I guess I never thought it that way. It would also be great if you ever made a full sharpening video 😜
