As a Malaysian, I admire these two American gentlemen.. Andrew Taylor (you) and Andrew Henderson of Nomad Capitalist.. Both of you give so much great informations and kind words about Malaysians and Malaysia 🇲🇾.. Thank you very much.. keep it up 👍 May God bless you and your Earl Grey ❤️.. May you have a wonderful experience and time in our fascinating Malaysia 🇲🇾😊
Hello Taylor, thank you for inviting us into your home and showing it to us...I am still flabbergasted that its only $410 especially with how luxurious it is. Love how you have your flat decorated!
Thank you for the tour, Taylor. It's good to see the beautiful transformation of M-City once you're up close, and inside. You've previously shown the giant black M-City cube in past videos, and it doesn't give warm and fuzzy feelings. It gives an image of a dark dystopian future where the Terminators have taken over the world, or perhaps of a giant alien space craft that landed, wiped us out and took over the planet. Congratulations on getting more subscribers
Yes, the overlords have landed, but their Achilles heal, AKA their weakness, which our heroic leader Andrew has uncovered, is their lack or retail space planning and management. Viva the Rebel Alliance!
I miss Malaysia. I have lived in Thailand for the past 8 years but always love my restorative visits to Penang, KL, and hopefully Kuching at some point too. Thailand is great but very much a monoculture and being an American, the multicultural nature of Malaysian society seems to make me feel more at home.
@@propertyguru22 Rents in Bangkok have always been sticky, even in bad economic times they never fall. Thai condo owners would rather sit on an empty condo than lower the rent..it's a cultural thing . I live just north of Bangkok in Nonthaburi but am always checking the market and rents have moved higher. KL is a much better deal rent wise for sure.
Hi Taylor I'm Malaysian and a new subscriber to you channel. Not only do you give great information on our country, but your personality and positive attitude makes me happy. Please continue your good work and stay happy and healthy always.
I am from nearby Singapore and I absolutely love your videos. You keep them factual yet with heaps of positive vibes. After watching your videos I’m tempted to up and move across the border to KL or Penang. Keep these wonderful videos coming along Taylor. Great job!
Hi Andrew, We are new followers. So glad we found you. Love this video! Such a beautiful apartment you have. We hope to visit that part of the world this year. Looking forward to your other videos.
Taylor, thanks for this insightful presentation and appropriate comments. So, glad you found your Shangri-la in Malaysia 🇲🇾. The building where is your home is very elegant. You really giving me the buzz for Malaysia. Thanks
Well done on crossing 10k subscribers I remember following since you were 1000 only. You are soothing , calm and fun happy person. I smile watching your videos ! Thx
Andrew, put a link in your description for your viewers to contact the developers and ask the developers for a commission if they get sales from those links.
Hi Andrew, great video: really positive tone & balanced presentation of the relevant factors. You should have warned me before you announced the price though. My jaw nearly hit the floor! Also seems well appointed & comfortable. Thanks, again & good luck w/your channel, Andrew. New sub.
I used to live here. The pool and gardens is lovely. The studio too. What I love the most is the grocer and pharmacy down there. When I planning my dish, it’s as easy as a button down to go and buy the ingredients you want. But the lack of public transport is a hindrance for me as I rely it 90% for my mobility. Lovely video as always,.
Hello Taylor, I just ran across your channel and have subscribed. Your apt is beautiful. Loft apartments are my favorite. And that's such a good price. I'm going to check out your other videos. I enjoyed this one very much. Thank you for letting us into your home.
Thanks a lot for featuring this condo for many locals are actually in the dark ( 😂) about the dark and mysterious looking facade although many pass by everyday on the highway close by it.
Excellent video. Congrats on 10k subscribers - don't look now , you are over 11k. Maybe a month or two and you will be at 20k. I hope you do an informative video on how to get 10k - you are an inspiration to all of us
I just watched a couple of your videos today and I subscribed mainly because you seem and sound like a really nice person ❤😊 Thank you for sharing your Malaysian experience! I’m starting to think about retiring there!
You have got a beautiful apartment ! ... yes it is small but it is just the right size for one that lives alone ... and the M apartment building is also amazing, I love the ambiance that the green areas created to building ... and what is best most of all is the rental ... quite rasonable considering the quality of living it provides ... thank you for sharing Andrew ... you succeed in stimulating my interest to work harder to own a SOHO like yours ... take care always 💕🐈🐈⬛💕
You do have a lovely place and the communal gardens are so beautiful as well. Looking forward to catching up when we return in June, and maybe meeting Early Grey as well🎉❤😊
Thanks for sharing..I'm a Malaysian and didn't even realised there was such a cool development in KL...the KL skyline is changing too fast..can't keep up..😂 and Sir,..I enjoy listening to your voice..Its calming and cheerful😊
Thank you for this video. Started following you recently and now I daydream about moving to Malaysia. By the way, my local Whole Foods is currently selling organic Hass avocados two for $5.50 USD !!!😮
Hi Andrew I am so glad to found your videos channel " congratulation" I enjoyed all your videos , I lived in Florida near Sarasota , my hope is to live in Malaysia for the rest of my life , I am EX - Malaysian, Malaysia my country of birth , Kenny .
Great breakdown, for anyone thinking of KL, by the way, advocos are $1/€1 Euro, @ Kilo 4 to 5 pieces, the place I lived in the Philippines, 'this week,Although now, in Kota Kinabalu which is a nice surprise.
It's a really nice apartment for $410 (and I also noticed that the cleaning price is just $25, wow!). I always pegged Malaysia for being on the expensive side among Southern-Eastern Asian countries but now I may reconsider. Thank you for this video.
Malaysia is one of the most affordable countries in Southeast Asia and probably number for ‘affordable luxury’. Culturally, weather wise and food it’s pretty similar to Singapore but for 1/3rd the price
I knew Malaysia was way cheaper than the US but my 👄 dropped when I saw the price it! I was thinking it at least cost 1500 to 2k.😲 I would never leave the building...
I think the timing of your buildings development and the impact of covid was probably a disaster for the retail spaces. We have had a similar "timing" issue with retail space here in Korea in otherwise newish, lovely buildings. On to 20k!
Love the condo development and your apartment. Especially love that painting of a person rowing a boat by the twilight as we enter the apartment. Is it Vietnamese?
Hey Andrew! Thank you so much for making this! I'm making a goal to move to Malaysia for 2-5 years hopefully in the coming two years. The aim is to hopefully save enough money while being abroad there to be able to buy a home back in the US once I settle down. I was wondering if you had any recommendations or suggestions on making this happen!
Thanks a lot Andrew - really helpful and now I am definitely going to have a look at these duplex units in M City to rent (I am just about to move to KL). Love this high ceilings! You mentioned other Developments - do you know others of a similar price point that have this level of quality?
@@andrewtaylor4558 While Property Guru is good it's not easy to find similar style Units easily in other Developments. It's a guessing game whether a Development has nice Units or not. You should do a video on other Developments which have great design Units like the one you have :D I feel like there are very few but then again I could be wrong and just can't find out about them. Whenever I ask agents they seem to be focused only the unit they are trying to rent out to me (not surprisingly I suppose).
@@andrewtaylor4558 Very! Which surprises me really - in London they are really focused on finding you something that you really would like because obviously they are more likely to get a result/commision but agents in KL seem to be much more basic - perhaps they just get so much business anyhow that they don't want to properly work for it. I often had agents that never even get back to me or don't reply etc
Great video, Taylor. Thank you. Do units like that come furnished, by chance? I have yet to visit Malaysia but hope to visit in the next year or two to help line up future plans.
$410 is an absolute bargain for this unit. I absolutely love the two story high ceiling units like this. My dream would be to have a Steinway piano next to a large window over looking the city. I would also love to do portable Ham Radio op's from the balcony, my other nerdy hobby. To me, this is like a Sim City dream-like lifestyle and is high on my list of possibilities. Thank you for sharing this Taylor. Oh . . . and I just subscribed, this was my first look at your fine channel ;) Oh, I just thought of two questions: 1. Would they allow two hairless cats in your building. 2. Is there a place where you can BBQ your meat ?
Hi, Taylor, Congrats on the subscriber milestone! Who cleans your Condo? If you hire someone, how much do you pay for ONE cleaning? Do they clean the whole condo or just the living area? Do you use the A/C all year? In other words, is it humid all year or you get to turn off the A/C from November to January?
Very nice apartment. I think the retail lots are mainly to cater for the occupants there; but some units are for investment purposes and empty most of the time. They don't have enough consummers. Besides there are a lot of eating places nearby. It is good that you have a scooter so that it is easier to move around.
Taylor....love your videos. Informative. I am considering spending 1/4 to 1/2 of my retirement days in Malaysia....but am worried about the humidity. I live in San Diego which has maybe the best climate on earth......so i am not used to humidity like you were coming from Florida. Is it really oppressive?
Hi Taylor! Thx for inviting us into your lovely home. Some questions: Do you have a car? Do they have parking for a car? Or can you get round easily without a vehicle? Is M City quite cosmopolitan? Are there more locals or expats nearby? How much do you think a 3 bed plus maid apartment might cost in this complex? Could you recommend a good bank to use and good realtor to secure a property? If you did not live in M City which other complexes would you recommend an ex-pat could look at? Sorry for all the questions - your videos are tempting me to try for a MM2H visa!
Great video Andrew. New to your channel.. Loved it! I'm a British Indian expat, looking to move to KL soon too. 😊 M city looks great... Will definitely check it out when I visit. Which other condo developments in KL would you recommend for expats? Maybe at the same level as M city or even at a higher luxury level in KLCC? Thanks so much
@@andrewtaylor4558 No worries Andrew, thanks again for this video. I'm sure other viewers of this channel will make some suggestions here in these comments. 😊
@ayushagrawal1001 When u arrive in KL, Google property or real estate agencies in KL. They are the best sources to find the type of accommodation u want. There are just too many choices to be honest.
