Hi Jessie! I am totally the one guilty of asking you about your retirement savings but we are in similar life and income positions and I love watching your videos and can't help but feel like there are some small tweaks you guys could make that could vastly improve things! 401k matches through employers are free money towards retirement!! So that should 100% be prioritized moving forward. Are you guys familiar with compound interest? It might be helpful to play around with a retirement calculator to see what your retirement contribution today can grow into in 30 years versus how much it will be if you don't contribute until later down the line. You make way more money with time in the market versus 'making it up' down the line. Another perspective is that paying yourselves first with retirement is ensuring your wellbeing down the line so that your children won't be responsible for anything. Another plug for the 'I will teach you to be rich' podcast because it is 1000% up both of your alleys with how thoughtful and intentional you both are.
