Your Gardens are Beautiful. I love it All. My area needs the Hostas like you have in the front garden. Green with white edges makes a striking show. I'm going to be looking for those at my garden center. The addition of lattice panels ( or whatever they are called ) will elevate the porch even more. Excellent idea!

I think your ideas of planting is just fine looks very nice 👍 Lots of people use cardboard I do and everything grows well and keeps the grass out. People just like to bully and be rude.

Anna, don't worry about those nasty comments. You do you. It's your garden. We all learn from planting. Maybe we make mistakes but we learn from them. I wish I had planted more perennials years ago. But that's OK. I'm doing it now. Just retired from 48 yrs of nursing. I'm in NW TN. Dyersburg. I'm going to enjoy my yard and flowers. Your garden is beautiful.

Anna, just so beautiful. You deserve to be proud of what you have accomplished. It reminds me of a house here in my hometown that every year everyone loves to drive by and look at. The gardens these people have are very mature and extremely beautiful. The people that live there are elderly like me so I’m sure they have some kind of help in maintaining what they have. As for me I told you before that I can only do container gardening now but that is so fun for me. I have a very large deck that extends almost the length of the house so I have room for lots of containers. Right now the Bougainvillea are blooming and the hibiscus are blooming. When I open my curtains in the morning and brings me so much joy to see them. Thank you for sharing with us.Love in Christ

When I buy plants (perennials, shrubs, trees, annuals), I save the plastic tags that come with the plants. Wipe off the dirt from the tag, write the year I purchased the plant on the tag with a sharpie, and keep them in an envelope in my desk. That way, if I have any issues with the plant (disease, pests, not thriving, etc) I can research the exact variety of the plant for help and I'll also know how long I've had the plant.

I live in the Atlanta area, down from Ohio 45 years ago. Im still learning how to garden in the south. Plants do take 3 years of root growth to really take, so dont give up on shrubs, perennials. Two years ago, everyone here lost rosemary due to a 7 degree freeze. Camelias lost buds, a heartbreaker. Monkey grass, birds planted under a few trees. I have transplanted as edging, too. Can be useful, just need to control. So enjoying following your garden journey, and you indoor videos. Have a great summer!

A couple years back I bought a mandellvilla because I fell in love with it and thought it would come back because the garden center person told me "just bring it in when winter" but it didn't come back I thought I did something wrong but your video explained why. Your flowerbeds are beautiful! I’ve been gardening for years; mostly roses. It seems I’m always learning new ways. I think garden is my therapy and my enjoyment, being an empty nester 😊. I absolutely believe in ground covers to control weeds (creeping phlox, sedum, homestead Verbena, etc. Last year I expanded my flower bed using the no dig method. There are so many different ways people do it. I found that the section I did the cardboard method on, I have way fewer weeds and grass. We have that horrid Bermuda grass! Ugh! It’s a beast. But this year I’m using contractor paper and way more mulch than I used before. This will do a better job keeping the sun from reaching the weeds and grass. I live in zone 8b on the east coast of Virginia. Great videos!!!👏❤️👍

Well, I bought a prearranged pot from Walmart. & am estimate from my landscaper for mulch... I experienced the cicada emergence in NY 10 years ago, (we are in Eastern NC now). They were mostly in wooded areas, we had to go seek them out. & we did, it was pretty cool to see, I'm not afraid of bugs. I'm ENC we will be spared the emergence. Happy Saturday. 💐

Yes!! Gardening is exactly like decorating only for the yard. It's a fun creative process and I totally agree. Your garden is beautiful and I wish I could get some of those Heuchera and Hellebore and clematis to grow here but it gets just too hot I think (or I just didn't treat them right LOL) love your garden!! ❤

Anna your landscaping is beautiful and it’s obvious you and Ernie enjoy it. The cicadas will be very loud from sunup to sundown. They can be very damaging to your trees. You might want to look into the nets to cover your trees. They won’t hurt you but will land on your clothes. Good news is they don’t last forever. 😊

Heyllo to team work You and Ernie are doing an amazing job.I was wondering why you dont have any windchimes.or maybe you have an opinion on why you dont have any. I have a chase lounge and baby naps are always welcomed while im outside looking at all the beauty and listening to birds while watching the butterflies,dragonflies ladybug and of course the bees are everywhere now what I dont like are the other crawling things loving my space as well

Cicades emerge simultaneously every 13 or 17 years. Cicades are not harmful and provide food for the birds. TFS you April garden. 😚
