Love seeing and hearing Randy playing bass…wish the record co. Would bring back his two albums he made after leaving the eagles and a video of all his performances would bring in a lot of money! I know I’d pay to get them all!
Excellent song! 🎸🎶 I noticed Bernie watching, from his Mic stand, while Randy was singing, he was like the audience too, because he knows this song smokes and he s just as amazed as everyone else at Randy and the rest of the band! 🎙🎶🎶🎶 😎
The picking and grinning is great on this fun song. Bernie is fantastic and Randy's vocals are outstanding. The harmonies are terrific. Together they were magic.
Randy can play and sing many different styles, he really has it all, likeable, friendly, beautiful, his voice,he was allround. Nobody have what Randy has.
Yes and No. They lost that great country-feel after Bernie left but if he had stayed would "Hotel California" (the album) have been created? We would certainly have missed those harder rock-edged songs such as "Life In The Fast Lane". Two great but different bands really: Pre-Joe and Post-Joe. The 2015 History of the Eagles Tour acknowledged this with two separate parts to the concert: Part A with Bernie and Part B with Joe.
After buying “The Long Run” when it was newly released, I felt cheated. Really. I wondered why the Eagles didn’t sound all that good anymore. I think if the Eagles had been more prolific in the years immediately following Meisner’s exit, they would have become tiresome. I don’t think they would have achieved their initial success without Randy Meisner. I am a fan of Timothy B. Schmidt but he never really filled the void of Meisner’s vocals and bass, in my opinion. All the members have been outstanding musicians in their own right and I continued to enjoy their music until Frey’s passing, but Meisner’s contributions made them cohesive in a unique way.
michael lowe They got payed years ago, and over and over......for making the music .What good is it if it can’t be heard ??? I would love to be payed for the work I did (nursing) when I was 20 ,21 now that I’m 50. What do you think my chances are???Hummmm. . Guess I should have been wise enough to have had that put in my contract back then. Damb!!! What was I thinkin?
