It's been a long time since any work of fiction made me actually say "Oh shit" out loud. "I suppose you're looking for this" did it.

After last episode I immediately went to the first to re-listen the prologue and man, everything really went together quite nicely. TIME FOR THE MOON TO FALL

Great storytelling. Especially the Phineas storyline! How his motivation of solving the case not only comes from wanting to please Spahr or paying of his debt, but also from admiring Fuze as a man who paid of his debt the honest way. Everything pressing down on Phineas so much that he breaks. I wonder how he’ll survive the localised apocalypse.

Moc Weepe and Phineas are dangerously similar, both can’t let people finish there sentences, both drag things through the street, both are against handouts, and now, it seems that Imelda has caught on just how similar they are

I’m calling it now: Phineas is going to breach contract. I was getting that feeling last episode, too, but it’s looking more and more likely with how his desperation is driving him to act.

I hate seeing Mr. Weepe and Saskia have it out like that 😭 It feels like my parents are divorcing and I can't help!

Talk about a hell of a stock market crash. And talk about a hell of a first season. Thank you all for making one of the most unique story telling experiences I have had the pleasure of listening to. I can't wait for the next season.

I listen to CR at 1.5x speed, I listen to most podcasts at 1.5x speed, and I watch certain gameplay videos at 1.75x speed.... but not Midst. With Midst, I listen at 1x speed for 2 reasons: first, the length of each episode is nearly perfect for my daily commute, and second those amazing, dulcet voices of the narrator's deserve to be heard and absorbed at normal speed!

What a phenomenal freakin series, I am just fully enraptured every second. They make you love and hate each character in different ways, the world, everything just ahhhh I can't wait for the next season.

I thought I was excited last episode when we caught up to the moon falling, but now, my excitement knows no bounds, fucking fantastic!

So that's not how I expected a broken and falling moon to cause calamity.

This was the fastest half an hour of my life. I need like 2hour episodes daily, I love this so much.

Just chills through the entire episode. Every time it cut to black, my heart was racing hoping it wasn't over.

The panic attack i felt from Lark as Phineas finds Zeyla and sprints towards her!!! I was like " LARK PLEASE DO SOMETHING SAVE HERRRRR!!!! "

That was one of the craziest finales I have ever seen of one of the best podcasts I have ever listend to. So many twists and turns and quastions and I genuinely cant wait to hear the next season.

This is one of my favourite episodes, and there's so much going on in it that rather than try to decide on a single thing to comment on, I'm just going to use a bunch of timestamps and put it all under a readmore. So... apologies for the length, and warning for spoilers: 1:15 I'd like to thank the Midst narrators for really catering to my morbid interest in disaster fiction 3:08 Bold of them to tell us right off the bat that we aren't getting answers about the moon any time soon 6:50 It is actually pretty funny that what little characterization of Jedediah Pom there's been so far suggests that the guy just has... no brain to mouth filter 10:00 I'm glad Imelda is at least having as bad a time as everyone else 11:43 _[blustering sound of surprise and indignation]_ is my new favourite foley noise 12:21 No longer... under arrest... perhaps? 😆 13:00 Weepe flexing on Vox Machina 13:33 I love Saskia's dramatic entrance. Also, I appreciate the subtitles reminding me that the music playing here is a melancholy rendition of their moon mining duet from earlier in the season 😭 14:09 I was half expecting a 'frankly my dear, I don't give a damn' from Weepe 14:56 "I did something you didn't like very much" has got to be the understatement of the century 16:00 I can't believe I've been bamboozled into feeling bad for Weepe in all of this. Here he is, arguably at his sleaziest, and yet I feel... sadness? empathy?? What is this??? 16:34 This whole scene is incredibly cinematic, and the sound design is 💯 18:04 Continuing my praise: I like Midst's narration at all times, but here especially I feel like it lends itself so well to the story. Weepe's sort of... stream of consciousness as he processes everything that's happening (and the way it's interrupted) feels so real and compelling. That, and the way the perspective jumps seamlessly from him to Phineas is excellent 19:20 tfw your mentor is berating you and a media guy is right there like 👀 20:30 Phineas is not done having his breakdown 21:59 It's nice to know Spahr doesn't actually have bad intentions or want Phineas to die, but I am losing it over his apparent inability to read Phineas' emotional state. Like, Phineas is definitely making mistakes of his own accord, but I feel like a lot of this situation could've been easily avoided if Spahr had at any point recognized how much stress Phineas was under - and now here he is, acting like he'd just be able to talk him down; even thinking about putting him further into debt! Spahr, c'mon. 22:42 Friendship ended with Phineas Thatch, now Moc Weepe is my new best friend??? 24:55 I love that given the option to either explain what she saw to Tzila or be physically fought by her all the way through their escape, Lark really tries to do the latter for as long as possible. Lark, ily, but _why._ 28:57 I know this is a serious moment, but I always lose it at the line about his cape. Oh no, you poor boy, not the cape! 😂 Are we... are we just jumping straight into season 2 next week? Is that what's happening? I haven't heard anything about it either way, which would _suggest_ the answer is yes, but after waiting so long for the second season in realtime, that almost feels too good to be true. This cliffhanger... may be brief? Incredible.

Aahh!! New episode!! I just got caught up on the previous one just in time for the finale!! Excited to see what happens I hope Lark and Tzila escape!

ive been enraptured by this series since the first episode and seeing all of this come together is amazing. the story telling is refreshing and ive grown to admire this style as well as our narrators. with three narrators and three main characters, i cant help but want to see all the characters interact with each other. its similar to how detroit become human's structure was, but midst does it differently i am here for it

Wow, I am so impressed by this series! It it so insanely unique and enrapturing - I have said probably hundreds of times that I am not a podcast person, because I usually have a hard time paying attention, but not with Midst! I started planning ahead of when I would listen to the next episode of Midst. I stop everything and can see this crystal clear in my head, and don't get distracted. I anticipate new episodes more than I think I've anticipated any media coming out. I had no idea this would be split into seasons, but I can't wait for the next one! Also since I am a RU-vid listener, I do want to shout out the episode art, especially since we got quite a few this episode! I especially love picking out characters I recognize, like Imogen Temult at the front of the crowd scene (chefs kiss to putting her in the exploding moon episode). I also feel like I see a couple video game characters and some from ATLA as well but I don't know any of their names!!

Ho, my god. What a finish. Thanks for this amazing season! Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long for season 2. Just long enough for y'all to get it together just right. Edit: y'know, I was rooting for Phineas and Larke, at the start of the season. Now? Now I'm done with him. Because damn. Meanwhile, that brief glimpse into Spahr's head, showing how much he does actually want to help Phineas, endears him more than the rest of the season. But then, that makes sense, given the last episode or two.

So, how exactly _would_ Weap have avoided this catastrophe if he'd never met the notary? (If it weren't for that chance meeting, he would have had an idyllic future. Or so the unreliable narrators told us.)

The Trust were certainly left holding the bag. Midst is getting trashed just after they bought it, and before they had time to sell off more than a small portion of it to the inhabitants.

Man, this finale is just awesome 😩 Nice to see old storylines wrap up and simultaneously birth new ones. Can't wait for S2. Anyone have any updates on when it might drop? Also, I feel like Weepe is the richest *most valorous* Trustee now😂

What a ride! Man! That was amazing. There were some natural 1s rolled for some characters in this episode😊 I'll have to relisten the whole thing though. I'm not sure why it would be deadly to get into the Fold wave when a half of the planet is in it for a half of every cycle. I know it has to do with all those accidents/mutations that happened to people but I still don't understand enough and I'm not sure if I've missed anything, or more explanation will come.

Is it just me or are there a bunch of Trigun references in the crowd? I don't mean the clear Ashton, Imogen, Beau and Yasha references, but the guy with the red jacket and the blond spikey hair, the big dude with one less arm and the smaller guy freaking out, the cowboy that looks like he came from the original Trigun show. Love the energy of this episode! Real edge of the seat stuff. I admit to being a bit confused as to the mechanics. Isn't this town literally submerged in Fold for half of every day? Sure, a tsunami is bad news, and there's obviously horrible consequences if your light goes out when that happens, but some of these buildings must be rated for "underwater" since it happens all the time. Why is everyone fleeing rather than heading to some sort of shelter, which I assume must exist?
