I know Weepe is a bit...untrustworthy to say the least, but I do appreciate his style. With a couple of simple questions he quickly showed anyone with half a brain that, even for an outsider, perhaps especially for an outsider, that he already knew their systems better than they do. All of this "old money" trying to dance around the issue of economic collapse, and Weepe is just like "let me get this straight, per your own rules, solving this crime would solve most of your problems, you had a lead, and now you're just....moving on like it never happened?" When the answer was a confused, "Yeah, so?" he knew exactly what to do from there. "I can use that, not further thoughts."

What happens when you combine economy, religion, AND government into a single system? THIS. I can't wait to see how this pans out. Weepe's little line of inquiries made me think he was planting the seed of bounty hunting in everyone's mind, and perhaps some urgency at the thought that Thatch is already ahead of everyone in the hunt by virtue of being "left" on Midst (VERY deliberate wording there, after the explanation given!) Super excited to see what happens next.

For sure! Either that or not expelling Phineas since he was the one focused on the murder and the trust should instead try to get in touch with him before just dismissing the progress hes made. The fact that this room full of valourous people didn't pick up on that is a good indicator of how good they are at actually running the system 😂 after all, if what we've been led to believe is true, Lark killed Max and well... who's with Lark rn

I burst out laughing at this episode. The building tension of the court, we were all waiting for Weepe to speak, that killer theme creeps up. And he just wanted to know how much -money- valor he could make from catching the Max's killer lmao. Well thinking about it, he was probably figuring out that catching the killer could balance the valor books. Not sure how old Lark is, if she would've been the right age to commit murder several decades ago. Could've been her mother? Or someone completely unrelated. Excited to hear more about these mysteries!

I'm thinking both: Weepe realizes that he could make an absurd amount of even more valor by catching Max's killer, but *also* that if that valor infusion does stabilize the Trust, he would probably get an even more absurd amount from single-handedly fixing a interplanetary-scale financial crisis, especially with Imelda there to manipulate and stack every multiplier known to the Un.

Weepe's character progression is one of my favourite things about Midst. I've loved watching how circumstances transform him and seeing how they give insight into his past which we've still yet to learn about. Bravo.

My theory is that instead of the obvious setup that it was Lark who killed Max Loxlee all that time ago and Fuse was gonna sell her out, it was actually Heironymous Loxlee who did it, and Fuse was covering for him. Lark was somehow gonna blow his cover, found herself a wanderer to avoid him.

My crackpot theory is that Lark IS Max Loxlee, but she hated the Trust system so she faked her death, transed her gender and ran away to Midst to become an outlaw. Her mother was apparently a good fortune teller, so that probably comes with wealth/valor in the Un? Again, a totally crackpot theory.

So first of all, the super irony of the episode appearing the same day the clown show in congress concludes in real life is hilarious. Secondly, if I'm not mistaken this is the first time we've learned of what Lark's wanted for...apparently murdering Imogen Luxlee's former husband Maximillian. I had thought it would be something more about how she got her abilities and whatnot with the glove and fortune telling, was leaning toward her being some kind of experiment with a baby and a tearror or something.

A lot of it is due to the context of the rest of the story (as in, it wouldn't be quite as interesting without hearing the rest), but you just successfully made a council meeting about an economic crisis exciting enough for me to listen to. Well done. You're, all three, exceptional story-tellers and voice actors. I keep finding myself more and more excited for each new episode, and I don't look forward to the day Midst is done, but I do look forward to everything you do after. Thanks so much for sharing this story with us.

I swear these guys are getting better at voice acting with each episode! The way Spahr almost imperceptible takes a shaky breath after saying his Adsecla was removed from his position after his poor job in Midst 😢 Also, i am not often a smart one whrn characters explain a plan, but I was very surprised that I understood Weepe's point and possible plan 👀 Although, Moc, Sherman knows you snitched on everyone that Breached, why the hell would he tell you anything? 😂

The notary introducing Weepe and butchering Weepes name fas quite funny :D Oh! They were planning to mine Midsts moon, just like the song? Was kinda funny finding most upper trustees proposals were quite useless :D Soooo... Does Weepe plans to find the killer and accquire all of that valor he mentioned would be reclaimed? And Phineas might not be a lost cause for the trust after all now? Also Moc Weepe is a savage, just saying that the most valorous person that they actually should NOT forget about Phineas and make point as if they meant foh him to stay? And Lark... did she kill the man? Maximilian? Why? Was she a trustee as well? So many questions, so little answers... hopefully yet :D Anyway, though it was another slow episode for me, but the amount of lore drop is humongous imo, great job on this one :D

Wait... so did LARK kill Maximillian Loxlee? That's what I'm led to believe. Originally the information we had led us to believe it was tied to the Breach smugglers (which he did help with) but his communication with Tzila and Lark's insistence to flee (not specifically tied to the Breach) makes me think that's what she did when she got her powers in the past from a Tearror or something. Either way, that's a piece of info we didn't know, and must have been in Fuze's letter, because what was written there was the one thing we did NOT know for certain. Also... HOLY SHIT Weepe had a hard hitting line as he progressed his line of thinking.

What happened to Critical Role season 1 on podcast apps? I have been making my way through it as I'm new to Critical Role and a lot of episodes just vanished. I was on episode 70 and on Google Podcasts and Amazon music, a lot of episodes have disappeared. Does anyone know what's going on?

No they’re not. This is a podcast that CR acquired. The narrators aren’t professional voice actors as far as I know, but they have a very unique semi-improvised style of narration and some cool worldbuilding.

It's semi-improvised as the person above said, so no directing happening, it's just roughly pre-planned and then cut, with music, soundscaping + soundeffects and art being added. The first two seasons are also being re-released currently and were made before critical role / meta pigeon aquired them and before Third Person (the three narrators and creators) were doing it full time. So the quality might improve by the third season, though I have no complaints.

These episodes (first two seasons) are being re-released, third season will be new for everyone. It mainly is a podcast and is published on multiple platforms (+their website) as podcasts usually are. Not sure why you seem to assume they are incapable of making the right decisions for their company, when they have all the insights and you don't? Also: I'm someone, as are the other 19.999 people you mentioned.
