Nobody is laughing harder at Babs downfall than Commie is right now. And good for him.
@MrChippinator
The fact is the Red Wings, when Babcock was coach, had the best roster in the NHL. Had they had a coach who the players liked, they may have won 3-4 cups instead of just the one.

Dude was vindicated after being the only one with the courage enough to speak out against Babs for years lol

This is why I only listen to interviews of retired players. They give their honest opinion. Active players can't really say anything they actually think.

I love the stories from players who are from The Middle or even players from the fringes. They are the best

Lmao will never tire of hearing Mike Commodore talking smack about Babcock.

As an Aussie who fell in love with nhl during Covid lockdown and now can’t consume enough nhl content, subscribed to every pod like NK, Steve dangle, etc it’s amazing to me the unwritten lore around hockey. The usual teamsport stuff but the beyond expected stuff like the accountability, hockey being a family, the hockey-unique stuff around enforcing/fighting. That’s the positives. On the other side is the bizarre culture around refereeing and make-up calls, the league being a retirement village for the same old 50-odd faces, the incredulous idea that bowman or anyone else from the blackhawks could ever be in the league again, the witchcraft-like process of penalties/suspensions (cut a chicken open and go with what the entrails tell you), the darthlvader-like Bettman running this empire supporting moronic stuff like Arizona playing in a car park whilst Canadian markets are screaming for more. It shits me but I’m here for it. I love it. Thank you.

The fact Babs isn’t back in the league, all the stories add up

Got to know Commie in Vladivostok, where he arrived to play for a KHL team at twilight of his career. Absolutely hilarious dude, love him.

I was with some ex NHL players a few days before Babcock was fired from Toronto and they told me he was a huge reason we couldn’t get free agents to sign.

I had no idea that Babcock was so despised by so many players until that article came out a few years ago talking about the Mich Marner stuff in Toronto and how Nik Lidstrom hated Babcock's guts in Detroit. And right here you have Mike Commodore giving a first hand account of the shit he went through with Babcock.

Commodore was a great player in NCAA hockey at University of North Dakota, scored a key goal in the 2000 championship game against a loaded Boston College team that featured Brian Gionta, Brooks Orpik, and Mike Mottau. North Dakota won that game 4-2.

This is my first time hearing anything from your show, as this video was listed under my recommended videos. If this is how your show is going to be, I’m all in fellas. You let the dude talk, you injected your story at the perfect time. Great work guys. You just gained a future loyal listener.

Talk to Chelios, Modano, Franzen about Babcock. The Red Wings despised this guy

There is nothing worse than a coach with an ego. You'll never reason with a person like that. Their way or the pine

Love that this guy was part of the group that exposed Babcock for what he was. Ask Mike Madano about him. Or Johan Franzen. Or examine his playoff record with Detroit. Poison.
@Braktooth
This is honestly one of the greatest sports stories I've ever heard.
