A few years ago, about the time when he first got in the UFC. I was attending a local fight event in Daytona. Mike Perry was there in attendance and was signing some autos for the locals. I was double fisting some beers and walked over to say hi. He got mad at me for cutting off some kids in line. The rest of the night, at my seat and out the corner of my eye, I'd catch him looking at me rubbing his hands over his fist like he wanted to BKF me. I nervously laughed about it with my brother. Became a huge fan of his ever since.

Glad to hear they got funding. I remember reading the owner took out loans on his house to fund events. Which is more than most promoters would be willing to risk. That's risking everything.
