I always get a kick out of whenever Solomonster brings up the fact that even though Hulk Hogan was a super popular babyface, he was always a heel.

The Beyond the Mat scene where Mrs. Foley takes the children out of the arena at the Royal Rumble, is still hard for me to watch. I start tearing up every fucking time.

They didn't brawl! Tyson went to shake Austin's hand, and he tripped into him. Then they both felt like getting some exercise in, so they started moving around. Not like that coward Jannetty that tried to dive through the barbershop window!

Solomonster the reason why Owen’s push ended was because Neither Shawn or Austin wanted to work with him.

I agree about the Rockers having a great opening match at the 91 Royal Rumble. I always loved that match. They had some good matches during the end of there run together. I also like the opening match the Rockers had at Wrestlemania VII against Haku and the Barbarian. Another great match.

Foley having heat with Rock sounds weird to me, im sure there is a bit in Beyond the Mat where Rock visits Foley while he is getting stitched up, right after the match.

This week in wrestling history. Ric Flair winning the title, Austin winning in 97, Cactus Jack vs Triple H, Angle vs Benoit, Torrie Wilson vs Dawn Marie, Lesnar vs Seth vs Cena, Ambrose vs Owens. Auska vs Becky. One of these does not belong...

Bobby Heenan made the 1992 Rumble! If The Brain wasn’t on the mic, that Rumble would be average at best.

Sorry but Shawn Michaels getting injured in that casket match was a blessing in disguise for not only Michaels but for the attitude era. I'm not saying I was glad he was injured or that I'm cheering the injury on but in retrospect things worked out for the best. The attitude era did just fine without him. And he turned his life around in that four years he was out. If HBK was still wrestling during the attitude era who knows if certain stars would have gotten the chance to blow up like, The Rock, Triple h, Mic Foley, Kane, Kurt Angle and etc. And he returned in the ruthless aggression era and had a incredible second half of his career that so many people love. Things worked out just fine.

@bootydaddy555
@bootydaddy555 3 года назад
@@lexkanyima2195 of course he fit in. Hes one of the main people that helped usher in the attitude era. The point is without him WWF had to focus on creating a new generation of superstars. Who became legendary. Think about it people like Godfather, Rikishi, X-pac, The outlaws, Jeff Jarret, Mark Henry, Farooq. All were midcarders in the Attitude era and became hall of famers. The Attitude era is considered to be the greatest era in all of wrestling. And thats without Shawn Michaels. Things turned out ok for both Michaels (who got married and found god) and the Attitude era.

@bootydaddy555
@bootydaddy555 3 года назад
@@lexkanyima2195 no. Didn't need him to face Rock or Austin. He already faced Austin. Rock was never interested in working with him. The attitude era was fine without him.

I have no idea how Shawn Michaels came back from that injury and had the best matches of his career after. I have 3 bulging lumbar discs, 2 bulging cervical discs, and 1 fractured lumbar disc. I can't imagine doing most jobs right now despite rehabbing for over a year, let alone wrestling. What an inspirational wrestler!

I’ve never understood how wrestlers like Bret Hart and Randy Savage were able to use their Hitman and Macho Man gimmicks in WCW yet Mark Calloway couldn’t be The Undertaker if he had jumped to WCW if he had jumped in 2000 and how long it took Cody Rhodes to get his Rhodes name back for AEW.
@alexshirli
@alexshirli 3 года назад
Because Hitman and Macho Man are names not owned by WWF/Vince Mcmahon and The Undertaker is his own creation. Macho Man was a Macho Man before he joined WWF
@Nostalgicguy2242
@Nostalgicguy2242 3 года назад
@@alexshirli so practically Undertaker is the only legit Titan Sports creation just like Goldberg is WCW's "only" creation?.. Because just about every WWF icon that jumped to WCW continued using their WWF name. And Ultimate Warrior legally acquiered the name around 1995-96, that's why he debuted in 98 as himself and not as "the Real Renegade"..

If not the Royal Rumble match, it should have been HBK vs Owen Hart at the main event of D-X In your house, the month prior, instead of Ken Shamrock. RE: Austin and Tyson...it was all over the sports pages here in the UK at the time

But U Also Have 2 Understand. If Michaels Faced Owen, He Probably Would of Never Got Hurt, Yes. But If He Never Got Hurt, He Probably Would of Overdosed on Drugs & Already Been Dead. That Back Injury, Ironically, Basically Saved His Life.

Stop saying the 92 Rumble is the best. It is one of the greatest yes. Top 3? Yes. In my opinion. Its between 2001 and 2004 for me.
@TheSolomonster
@TheSolomonster 3 года назад
Why would I stop saying it if that's what I believe? What a weird comment.
@bootydaddy555
@bootydaddy555 3 года назад
@@TheSolomonster because its all subjective. If thats what you believe then thats fine. Nobody's gonna take that away from you. If you said " I believe that its the best rumble match" thats ok. When you say " it is the best rumble match" that implies that its a fact when its really just your opinion. If you say " arguably best Rumble" that is also ok, but when other people have different beliefs then its not a fact. Its all subjective. All different preferences. In any case I believe 92 rumble is top 3. Again for me personally I Iove 2001 and 2004 equally and cannot put one above the other so for me those two are a tie. And the best Rumble matches in my book with 92 and 2008 right behind.
