Always impressed when anyone can speedrun this game, the amount of frame perfect timing needed is beyond, but then again this is the chap that has held the NG world record for three years, looking forward to seeing how far you take this down Arcus
I think this game is one of the easier ones to give a go too.. If you played this when you it came out in '90? alot of it comes naturally plus it's really short
I always like your videos before I even watch the video because I already know that I'm going to enjoy it one of the only RU-vid channels I do that for. Another great play through thanks
I can only beat Tyson when I put in the code! Mr Sandman and Super Macho Man ware me out! I don't have anything left for Tyson after fighting those two
@@shakarussanders9911 haha that is so true! It was very tuff getting to tyson and by the time I finally got there, I was 2 wore out 2 restart and try again. I dont think I ever even tried to get to him 2 times in one day lol
awesome speedrun of Mike Tyson punchout my brothers found this game at school when we where kids our mother made us give it to the lost and found and nobody claimed it so we kept it and played.
I remember getting to Tyson and experiencing anxiety for the first time in my life at 11 years old. Haha. I eventually beat him through serious trial and error.
I love this game. Wish this version was the nes classic instead of the mr dream version. I also remember renting this game from the local Mike’s Mart here in Canada;which became Circle K.
I've played this game a lot of times, and this is the first time I realize Mike Tyson give stars. Of course, I never allowed him to get a second round, so he never did that combo on me. Nice. The most we learn...
I've had Super Macho Man glitch and do over 30 turn punches in a row and another time with about 16. It was on my original Tysons punch out cartridge in the 80s.
From what I've heard the devs modeled Glass Joe after Robin Givens...... Sorry bad joke couldent help it I have tourettes and couldn't deal with the anxiety of not putting it out there.
I haven't seen all your videos yet but I keep hoping that at least one of them will have a glitched intro where you have to take the cartridge out, blow across the bottom, then try again. XD Oh and I LOVE how you hum along with the music sometimes! lol :)
I'm sure plenty have, probably most really good speed runs take nearly no damage, so I'm sure it's been done. If Ninja Gaiden can be beaten with no damage, I'm sure this one has been at some point.
Try to block the 1st 4 punches of the Great Tiger at the start of the 1st round. In between each one of his punches, you can left, right combo him to the face and wear him down. He will throw exactly 4 of these that you press down to block. Immediately after the impact of his punch that you are blocking, start tearing him up to the face.
For Don Flamenco hit him with high left right left right which will stun lock him! Once the fight restarts hit him with a low left followed by another left which will give you two star punches! Once he gets up, dodge his swing, stun him and use the star punch. Do this again and he's done!
The second Bald Bull, man, I can never get the timing for that bull charge right. I've heard to look ir a guy in the crowd with a beard or a camera flash, but I can't seem to get the timing right.
