This is what happens to a glass of milk if you leave it out for a month.
This upclose time lapse footage shows you how quickly a glass of milk will evaporate spoil in room temperature. Insects and flies found their way to the milk almost instantaneously.
Milk time lapse over the course of 35 days, milk eaten by maggots.

When the surface tension sucks them in, they have no way of escaping. That's what fruit fly traps use as a mechanism. Water + vinegar + a drop of dish soap. Surface tension is broken, as soon as the flies go to drink, they're sucked into the liquid and drown.

@@badgerbane they were in the milk because they were drinking the milk, and then they couldn't get out of the milk, so they drowned. so yes, they absolutely died with a full stomach.

Question: where do you film these and how do you get rid of them afterwards- and where do all of those insects come from??

I have a separate studio just to film time lapses. When I'm done with a project, I disinfect the remains with bleach and I throw them in the trash. You'll see less and less insects in the future videos because they disappear during the winter, but when the weather is nice some of them always find the rotting stuff. Then their number start to grow exponentially.
