Thanks a lot Michael :) The A7Sii is a low-light beast as you know, the difficult part is not letting the vlog get in the way of photography or personal enjoyment
Rest among the stars, my friend. This was my favorite of all your photo vlogs, and one I kept coming back to for the sheer wonder, peace, and adventure. Thank you for being so generous with your knowledge, and for taking us all along with you. We all learned so much not only about the art and craft of photography, but also about dreams, vision, and passion, about honing one's skill and about being a lifelong learner and lifelong teacher. Thank you. Good luck to us all, and clear skies.
What a fantastic video! Loved how you presented your route through the mountain, the pano at 9:40 is probably my favourite from the video. That meteor sure was a beast! :D You didn't get any sunrise photos? :D
Jesus MAN yet another EPIC video. Your enthusiastic, energy and honesty on full show again!!! Pity about the crap weather and lens problems at the start BUT that was made up for with the other shots and footage. Deadly!!!
Alyn Wallace.... You are amazing.... for a few moments, I forgot all the stuff going on in life and I was in total peace. I wish to be in a place like this sometimes shooting stars. thanks for lettings us know that heaven exists here on earth.
Me and my mate were at wales to hike snowdon and we were sitting on a beach nearby at 1 am in the morning viewing beautiful the night sky but this is whole another level. So we were having general chat about meteorites and next thing you know massive flash of green and blue streak across the sky. We were both awestruck and started dancing. That was extraordinary moment for us.
im sure you have a vid, but will the filter come in different sizes, cause i have a nifty 50, and a rokinon15mm2.8 id like to try it on, idk how wideangle lens work with filters tho.... do they, i havent been able to find any
Another awesome vlog Alyn, looked like a bit of a special night in North Wales bud. Certainly a bit more spectacular than on top of Clee Hill in Shropshire :)
Awesome vlog. I was giving it a thumbs up but realised I had done that already a while back. So it appears a single 👍 like, but is actually 3. Keep these inspirational images coming! Clear skies.
Im going To the area between rhyl and Prestatyn for two weeks tomorrow. (30/7/22) do u have any tips on how to see it from there? On my light pollution app it reads there as bortle 4.
Sensational video as always ! amazes me how you can get all that detail from a single exposure ! Whats the exif data for one of the single exposures ?? simple incredible!
Only come across this video cause am camping in Scotland and just took my lad out to look at the stars as it's pitch black on this campsite so thought I would try find a decent video to show him why I like looking up at the stars.this will do fine absolute epic footage
The opening scene is pure fucking magic. And I’ve seen a lot of good shit in my day. Thanks for sharing your never ending quest to learn and share the elements that gave birth to us all. A+
Very inspiring Alyn. My friend and I are hoping to bring our scopes over from Nottingham to the Brecon Beacons this winter on a cloudless and moonless night. We have a lot of heavy gear for deep sky objects. Since we can't venture far from our transporter it's going to be difficult to find a high spot that is also low on general light pollution. If you know of any decent sites or any advice for anywhere in Wales that is van-friendly , please let me know. Cheers.
Amazing vlog, very inspirational! In my eyes your best one so far, and all previous ones had been a pleasure to watch already. Loved the introduction with Google Earth and then seeing your own footage of the place immediately after.
Looks like a great night! Excellent video & some truly superb shots! Will keep an eye out for the filter; been impressed with Kase filters & holder so far.
Stunning captures and so nice to see someone travelling the paths I took many many years ago, Moel Siabod (near Capel Curig) is another great place for nighttime photography , great memories 👍🏼
