Millennium Falcon perfect grade Bandai 1:72 Light Kit and Build. I used the Falcon 3D Parts kit which comes with few instructions, but it worked out great.

I think the red light can be used with fiberoptics for the red warning lights underneath the falcon. There are photo etch parts for that from greenstrawberry available. The other coloured can be used with fibers to light up individual buttons on the cockpit. However i like your choice what to do with those lights too, using the vents is an excellent idea.

I’ve built two of these and I had the same part linking the upper gun turret to the port docking ring, snap (9:30), on both.

In my kit it was a molding mistake in manufacturing. I didn't feel like sending it back and waiting for a replacement part. Besides, it was literally the only part that didn't come out properly

Any insights as to how you built the walls and the details of the diorama?

little late - but I ended up just using cardboard from the Bandai box, making it easy to glue items to it, cut it to size, and paint. I needed to double-layer to sandwich the wiring so it was hidden, cardboard again was the easiest solution. I cut the box in such a way to use the graphics for the back side. So that side shows the Falcon images from the box, while the other side is diorama facing. I live in a dry climate so i wasn't concerned about warping. My local hobby store has a lot of train parts, I used some of those. I found online some 1:72 scale Star Wars figures, and the bridge.

I found Models By Chris used the Greenstrawberry PE set and fibre optics to ad caution lights to the underside of the Falcon, perhaps the red LED can be used for a red-light generator for those caution lights. Other coloured fibre optics could be run into small holes in the cockpit panels. Aren't the led colours adjustable on the controller? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3fO0mvqnc_4.html

I saw the fiber optic builds - they are fantastic but a bit too advanced for me. And the red/green was way too bright and would have spoiled the overall look. I ended up liking where i put them. I don't believe the led colors are adjustable, but who knows, wouldn't be the first time I missed the obvious;)
