no telling how old that log is,a couple of them you could side a whole house lol.it is very nice looking wood.do they make that model where you can add the crank to the body.i been trying to look close at them an see how there made its a pretty neat feature.
What kind of tool was that at about the 15 min. mark. I'm thinking it something to check for metal. Does it do a good job? Where can you find them to purchase?
That is a Gold Pro brand pinpointer or metal detecting wand. It came with my Gold Pro detector as a package deal. I bought it slightly used, as the package with both is a little expensive. I do use the larger detector a lot with logs. But I’m pretty sure you can get just the pinpointer online, and harbor freight has one that is fairly cheap that I’ve seen a few sawyers use
