Benjamin Franklin said, “For every minute spent organizing, an hour is earned.” In this business time is money so I think Mr. Franklin is 100% correct.
What Mr Franklin is is 100% dead. His tales on cougar hunting are going down in the all time based founding fathers list though. That’s why he’s on the c note
I have adjusted my schedule around the 100 degree weather here in Texas. Outdoor tasks are done before noon before we hit 100. (We are homesteaders with animals and gardens, and we are building our own home). After lunch, I pull orders and take them into town. Then come home and spend 3-5 pm to photograph, list and put away inventory. I have been maintaining a 14 day scheduled listing bank since I am the primary caregiver to my Mom and MIL, so if we have a day of doctor appointments my listings still are going live. July has been one of my best months. 😊
Something I do to clear stale inventory, is to relist it all at auction for .99 cent. I’d say 90% sells for what I paid and I make my money back at least. Some makes a small profit. Bonus is that I know it’ll be gone by sale or I’ll take it to donation in 7 days. 😂
I’ve had success with this as well! I need to do another one soon. I just cleared out some inventory from my last auction that didn’t sell for .99 cents lol
@@InappropriateShorts yeah, it usually ends up being mature brands like Chicos Talbots etc for me. I have a way to source most my inventory for 50 cent to 1.25 so I’m not quite as picky as long as the style is good.
I took 100kgs of stock to cash for clothes earlier, they gave me £50, it was all poor filler items that would have taken years to sell. It feels like a relief, I am going to start again
So I want to mention that just in 2 weeks of watching your channel, these videos, I have been selling so much better!! I mean I feel for Jen. I have accumulated so much junk clothes thinking, “oh they will sell soon enough”. But after taking your advice, I’m just selling them at the lowest possible profit and getting rid of all of them. And now walking into my storage feels amazing! Not to mention better, newer items on the way!!! God bless ❤
Kind of came to this own conclusion on my own the other day. Been throwing stuff that will just be a hassle in a box to donate & goodwill can throw it away if it's trash. Some of it is my old personal items that I got from good will years ago just upgraded so no longer need it but not really worth listing.
I would just remove it and donate it. Why waste your time. I’m a reseller on eBay since 2009. Time is money. And if you mark everything to $1 why not just give it away. Because at $1 you might make 20 cents and it’s not worth my time.
This is very interesting! I have been re-organizing one of my stockrooms and deciding what I need to get rid of. It was just overflowing and hard to work in.
Seems like sooooo many people are not doing great or doing worse recently on Ebay. But then a lot of people like to complain instead of doing something about it so you cant believe everything they say. My impressions are up 190% and they are all organic as I never have promoted. Never plan to. My page views are up 120%. Conversion rate is up a half a percent and my click through rate is down 0.2% There's so many myths about what to do to get more sales and I think most of them are b.s. I dont end listing and sell similar. If people dont want your crap the first time they aint going to want it no matter how many ways you list it. Even sending out offers and doing sales never did much for me. The ONLY thing that has ever worked for me is having good items for sale. Good items is number 1 I believe. Good photos and keywords are a 2nd to me. Even the price comes in 3rd for me as I sell the same crap as everyone else but I get more for my items I assume as I take good pictures. The only other thing that I have noticed that helps me do better is removing old listings that been sitting there for 1-2 years. Removing old listings even helps me sell some of the other old listings I didn't remove. I took off a bunch of $20 items, things that were hardly worth selling after fees and shipping cost and Boom the other crap I didn't get to yet starts selling. I agree with a lot of things you say in your videos. You know what the Hell you're talking about. I also believe my sales are up because of recent good scores I've had. Video games, TMNT, He-man, Stuff that's popular, things that are collectible and desirable. If one cant sell video games on Ebay they need to get a job at Mcdonalds. That stuff sells itself if priced right.
Ok here it is! sometimes I hate you, others I admire you, and then I love you, later I unsubscribe, soon I subscribe again, you are absolutely right in everything you say, that is the reason of my behavior 66 years here I manage eBay super well no problem at all super organize and clean person here no dead Pile, but I am afraid and no money, how I get the strength that I need to keep on going, I am ready to quit! my store is open since march 2023, how can I make it!
Going over my listings most of them don’t have a “shipping service selected” 😮😮 eBay did this with their new ground advantage rollout. Has this halted my sales??
True! I was looking on ebay and I'm finding stores with 1300 items and about 25 sales in 90 days. These were clothing sellers. How discouraged I would be.
