Just ordered this bad boy but I went with the chuck instead of the quick change. I figured it’ll give me the availability to use different types of bit sizes and styles if I ever have the need to.
You just proved how strong it was to go through so many boards at one time yes it took a lot out of the battery oh well that's not normal for it but it shows you it can be done keep up the great work and have a cheers will a beer
Me and my friend just drilled a 4' hole through solid logs from the bottom of the top of a door jam with the 2 1/4" bit we used the Milwaukee 7/16 linemans impact drill
Thanks to your videos, I know now being an electrician I need the "regular hawg." You saved me money! Now hopefully one of these days I can afford one of these "swag bags" or a damn T-shirt. Lol I'll keep saving to Rep!!! New Mexico 505 has your support!!!
I dunno if the bits im using are maybe to dull and im putting more strain on the tool/battery but while using a 12.0 battery i maybe drilled 20 wholes and alrdy dropped 2 bars..
What a beast Vince, as only VCG would try a test like this. Wonder if using an auger bit w/ this test would make it through all 100 holes.💪🏼 Regardless, enjoyed watching you attack those 2x4s like an animal👍🏻 Cheers👊🏼
I use my impact wrench with an adjustable chuck adapter to drill with my hole saw bits. It's a little bit slower but it is almost effortless. No fighting the drill like you were in this video. I can go through a double top plate with one hand easy. Once you drill your larger holes that way, you will never use a Hole Hawg or other standard drill again to drill larger holes. Try it. Maybe do a review or Tool Test Raw on it. You could use your 2763 and run it against that Hawg.
We use the regular hole hawg with 7/8 auger bits and can do a few 2 and 3 bedroom apartments on a single 12.0. with 3 guys going with their own hole hawg, we drilled a 22 unit apartment in a day and used a total of 7 12.0's
Id like to see the individual 2x4s just to see if it surpasses the estimated 100 holes. Still, the 9 deep and still able to get a little over a fifth is very impressive. Mos def go head to head with Dewalts!
I ran a Milw Hole Hawg for many years, doing rough-in plumbing, when drilling through 3 or more plates, you should drill no more then 1/2 to 3/4 inch then pull up to clean the chips, believe me, times I wouldn't then loose the bit into the wood, ugh
Great test! Nice to see how the super hawg does with all the wood chips not being cleared. I'm gonna return my hole hawg and get the super hawg. Hole hawg struggles to go through 3 wet 2x6s with a ⅞" auger bit.
That weight, being close to the axis of rotation, is negligible compared to load of the drilling action. Did you see how hard he was pushing/pulling, and how hard it was getting bound up? That little bit of weight doesn't make a difference, esp since it's only like ~5/16" in radius.
Will the quick lock fit 7/16? Or is it only 1/2 because I have a lot of 7/16 bits for my old m18 super hawg. I finally smoked it might buy the newest one
what type of comparison...speed or amount of holes it can drill ? if its speed the milwaukee will destroy it...the ridgid only has 450 rpm's...milwaukee is 950....amount of holes drilled is the only thing you can compare...i have the mega max...brought it to vcg and did a video review of it already
@@kingofthecrease30 just to see how they compare with feel/handling of the tool in use, number of holes per a given battery, how well they run large/long bits, and anything else yall could think of.
oh what do you Andrew Dice Clay Hickory Dickory Dock I got this tool Milwaukee and I'm about to make a two and a half inch notch me and my crew we know what to do we finish the job it was around 2 and we was still on the clock oh u r the best
To he honest milwaukee is that best not matter what's i know whats i talking about bc I'm a plumber i used fuel line tools every day not problems just productions on job site
You weren't drilling holes, those were tunnels to China May not want to tell people to double smash the like button, net zero. LoL. Had to triple whack-a-mole
the dewalt will prob go up in smoke like the 887's after 20 holes drilled 🔥🔥😂😂...yep..lou is always schilling for dewalt...hates milwaukee...haters gonna hate...what can ya do ? 🙅
We've been running DeWalt tools since the 90's. Dozens of cordless tools. None have failed besides batteries and brushes. We still have 14.4V tools from at least 20 years ago, that we still use from time to time.
