I found a triple spider spawner in a mineshaft under my base. It was so rewarding taking the time to pick the block to stand on to get all spawners working, and then get the water mechanics dialled in to bring everything to that block. Proud of that one.

Found a dubble zombie spawner and we did the same... calculated the perfect block. But god sad no ... if we moved one pixel back only spawner 1 was on. One pixel forewards and only spawner 2 was on😭😭😭

What are the range calculations for the spawners? I have 6 that I found REALLY close and I’m super struggling combining them.

@@no_u_420 I forget exactly, I think 15 blocks away still works. As long as all the spawners are within that distance from you, up or down, left or right. Next is to get them all to 'flow' to a kill chamber, like a trident killer.

For the trident killer, when I afked all night I woke up dead because apparently baby zombies can glitch through the hopper and attack you so if anyone wants to prevent this then place a slab right under the upside down staircase

Zombies and skellies can sometimes spawn with armour with the Thorns enchantment. Over time, this could kill an AFK player. A fix could be a beacon with regeneration.

Great farm and video as always Silent, so many thanks. I did find on the one I’ve built which is spiders, that on occasion a spider gets itself snagged in the kill chamber above the gap above the right hand (facing the chamber) repeater. In case anyone has noticed this I just replaced the repeater with a dropper so it had no longer had room for that to happen and it all seemed to work fine. Thanks again, excellent videos.

A small improvement that can be done to (cave) spider spawners: fill the drop chute with water sources, and replace its floor with magma to create a downward bubble column which pulls them down. This is especially important for spiders with trident killers, since the drop chute is just wide enough for them to fall and they will stuck above the trident killer easily

Still new to Minecraft, would you set up the hoppers under the magma blocks? and would you need 4 hopper to do so? I found a double Cave spider so I'm trying to find the best way to handle it. Thanks

@@Kroogg No, I mean the four quartz blocks at 6:49. For most mobs, using most blocks will be fine, but since spiders and cave spiders can climb walls, it would be better to use magma blocks to create downward bubble column to pull them to the trident killer

Use a mine cart and hopper, the mine cart and hopper can pull items through one block. So just set the mine cart and hopper on top of a hopper into a chest and then the floor can be all magma cubes.

I think something changed changed to make the xp start getting caught in the hopper. I'm guessing this wasn't happening when the farm was originally built? I modified mine by putting a solid block where the hopper goes, a hopper minecart under the block, a hopper under that, and a chest under that (actually a series of hoppers and chests). I replaced the stair with a slab (maybe not necessary, but works so far) and as long as I don't crouch to get under the slab I don't pick up the trident. My xp pickup has greatly improved.

If you dig 5 blocks out in every direction instead of 4, you get about 3 times as many drops.. As long as the mobs are being taken care below the spawner range. I tried it in creative, two farms side by side, one larger / one standard size, and it's almost exactly 3 times as many drops on every run. The larger size allows mobs to spawn on the edges of the spawner range without there being a wall interfering.

I built this for my spider spawner but the problem is that the spiders dont fall in the one block hole , i made the standard farm withoud the trident killing chamber, the spiders get stuck at the top of hole and dont fall in it. How can i solve this problem?

Words can't describe how relieved I am that this works on java edition because nearly every java farm i saw involved bubble elevators and I ain't touching the nether in hardcore without prot 4 on my armor

Im not sure what i did wrong. I placed my droppers, repeaters and observers exactly as you did, got my solid blocks in, water logged just like yours but i pull my lever only 2 pistons react and only do it once. The piston the lever 8s attached to is the one not responding. Is there a conduit stone im suppose to use? You didnt sepcify which one.

Advice as a skyblock player who is on a world that has spawners (mineshaft generated): if you don’t have access to iron, redstone or tridents, dig down the drop chamber even further until the mob is down to 1/2 a heart left. That way, it can be killed in a single hit!

Easy to get a trident chief. On Bedrock the drop rates are higher so just spend time on the edge of any ocean and grind a bit, you'll get one in no time

i guess this trident killer doesnt work for me, trident wont "attack" the mobs and will always get caught on the hopper. any work around for this?

I did the math, it gives about 18,000 xp an hr on average, this would require 0 lag though meaning a trident killer would not only allow you to afk overnight, it would also give more xp but I'd recommend making a bin to remove drops and prevent lag from unstored items due to lack of storage.

Typo, meant to say 1.8k The math: Mobs give 5xp minimum (can reach 8xp with the right armor) and spawners spawn 1-4 mobs every 10-40 seconds, averaging out to 2 mobs every 20 seconds or 1 mob every 10 seconds, in 1hr there are 3600 seconds, divide that by 10 and u get 360 mobs an hr, multiply that by 5 (the average mob has no armor meaning 5xp per average) and you get 1,800xp You will get more if you have no lag because some will spawn with armor giving more xp but that's the average

Uggghh I dug down the kill chamber by 12 blocks. Made a SUPER elaborate base. Then started the thing up… they aren’t spawning unless I go up about 9 blocks. I really screwed it up.

Having a couple issues with the trident killer. If I crouch under the slab, the trident goes back into my inventory. But if I stand behind it, most of the xp orbs wind up getting stuck in the hopper.

For some reason, when I activate the lever, one of the pistons isn’t activating at all. Which doesn’t make the farm autonomous. It’s the piston behind and under the lever. I followed every step and checked what I did wrong, but I still don’t understand why this one isn’t working. *edit* I fixed it! It matters what direction the repeaters are facing!!!

A smite 5 sword will kill sketelons etc with one hit, but only if they take a bit of fall damage. But with this design, dropping them much further might make the spawner inactive when standing in the kill chamber? Would be nice to see this addressed.

You can maybe funnel them using a dispenser with a water bucket and then bubble column to bring them back up to you.

edit: it's active within 16 blocks of player? so 6 blocks down to water level leaves 7 or so drop for the 'chute', (additional 2 blocks for standing area). Maybe this is enough.... as often looking for super simple setups, esp outside of main-base terrain.

Another I've done to mine is place a block above you where U kill them and spam jump it makes it so you crit the mobs instead of just hitting them

They should be a 1 hit kill so doing a critical hit shouldn't change anything.

what happens if i leave the machine on and leave the area to go exploring? will the machine keep running meaning the trident wont despawn or will it turn off and despawn the trident? only asking since the trident i have is low on hp and i dont wanna have to keep throwing it and wasting durability if possible

I built the farm and instead of using a slab I used a soul campfire for automatic skeleton farm. It’s good if you just want bones 🦴 and arrows but I’ll use a slab and looting sword. Since I also want to get the enchanted bows for getting a maxed out bow.

@@valdry313 you either get lucky enchanting a sword with the enchanting table to get it. Or travel to Bastions in the nether for a chance to find an iron sword with looting. Or get lucky with villagers to get looting which is safer than the Bastion one.
