You have to pay so much for extras like electric seats and heated seats here in the UK. We don't even have an option for a panoramic sunroof. It's a stylish little car but you would get so much more with other cars.

Great review, I just ordered one last night. This will be my 3rd Mini Cooper, the only issues I have had was a defective battery on my 2nd Cooper S. My leases have been 4 years and the warranty is 4 years so if anything should happen like my battery it is 100% covered by mini/BMW, the only thing not covered is brakes. ( in Canada), The customer service I have experienced has been excellent.

hi mike would appreciate your advice , do u spend a lot of money on petrol with the mini , ive been told not to bother as fuel consumption for mini is crazy

I have the F55 2018 cooper S with the 7 speed auto box. I think it's awful personally, always feels like it's in a gear higher then it should be. When you are doing 50ish on the motorway and go to overtake there is a total drop off in power whilst the gear box tries to respond and drop down a few gears. I end up driving everywhere in sports mode.

I got a 2019 cooper with LED and internal lights. It's beautiful. You guys need to look at the emerald gray. Do get a JCW finish.

3980mm length. 1980mm with sidemirrors. without im not sure. around 1760mm. And the hight is 1450mm.

Have the same. Got mine March 2020.. Same engine, same colors and stripes but manual . I did buy black OZ rims to keep the basic silver for the winter It's my go to work car as the we have a bigger car as well. So I normally drive alone. Such a treat this car. I only found one issue with it and it's the 15" Wheels.. Other than that just a blast. Done 50k km love it and just the perfect color

Im also 6'8. and about 200lbs and i have plenty of room. You can drive with 4 adults but put the smalles one behind the driver.

I thought they are only mounted when the car is equipped with LED Headlights. Otherwise maybe included in packages or an option wich is not applied to that car. The shown car is not well equipped. Pretty basic.

ER.... The Kia Picanto. Your kids gave 6.5 or something. This little 'posh' car was 8.5 I think. Maybe they've inherited up market taste as so called 'premium brands' get extra cache.... I guess that's good in an inverted kind of way.

That is NOT a 2019 model. All new models, as standard, come with front/rear LEDS, touch screen & steering wheel controls.

They are not included in the 3 and 5 door base model. You can get them when you upgrade to the active pack.

@@roxannew7075 I'm sorry but you're 100% wrong. You're referring to the 2014-2017 Pre-LCI refresh models. ALL 3 & 5 doors come with full front-rear LEDS & 6.6inch touch screen as STANDARD. :)

The model your refering to is the 2019 model that just came out around March this year in the UK. As it takes around 3 months for these cars to arrive in Australia, mini Australia hasn't started advertising these models as yet. And all the cars built before then don't have these as standard features. You can also refer to the mini Australia website, to view the current base model in Australia. So this is still a 2019 model, just an early 2019 model.

I think if you ever tell a friend to buy a Mini, you're a pretty bad friend because anyone who does their homework would know that these things are hopelessly unreliable and have terrible customer service. Mini is right down there with the Fiat-Chrysler group, if you buy one and keep for even a few months you'll be sent broke just with parts and servicing costs. I think that all these motor journalists should mention that but never do, pretty dodgy of them tbh.

My Mum bought a Mini Cooper SD All4 Clubman 2 years ago and we haven’t had a single problem with it. It’s fun to drive, the quality is excellent and it’s even quite practical. One of her friends bought a 3-door-Mini and in love with it too. I haven’t heard a single bad word about the quality eliability of Mini products.

@Lukas ja : jeez just google it! As a rule the first 12 months production of each new gen of Mini is to be avoided. However after 12-18 months the poor suckers who purchased early help BMW identify and sort the issues. By 2016/17 you’d hope the reliability issues with the current gen would be mostly sorted. Still doesn’t resolve the outrageous purchase and option prices and high servicing costs relative to the Japanese and Korean competition
