As a cyclist what interests me about the Countryman is the ability to put a full size bike rack on top, and sports equipment in the back... Perhaps you can address this?

We have two minis a convertible and the Paceman both such a hoot to drive, something different than the regular bland vehicles out there nowadays. The All4 paceman is a beast in the snow with snow tires on it.

Just got the Countryman classic Cooper S in British racing green with a black roof. The turbo 2.0 litre engine is a BMW engine, sound great and it certainly moves along briskly when required. ;-)

I really don't understand the Mini purists who have a problem with this being a BIG Mini. The alternative is for the brand to only ever have one model with a few engine variants. I think the designers have done a brilliant job of translating the distinctive Mini DNA into a compact SUV. I would never have considered myself a potential Mini owner, but this car (and particularly the Cooper s) has got me thinking.

I bought mine a few months back. This is a great car. The Mini Cooper s all 4 came in at about 35k, not 50k. Great build quality, zippy, handles great. If you are on the fence, buy it.

Well, I believe she is saying 50K Pounds. I have a 2019 Countryman-S All4 Iconic - ran about 43500K US. And to answer the cyclist - oh yes - full size bike racks, roof racks, full rooftop carriers - it WILL take em all. And if you put a Stealth Hitch on it (www.stealthhitch.com) it will pull a small trailer. And although I’ve owned everything from a Camaro to a Volvo XC90 this is the first car I have ever owned that I just plain love to drive!

It’s $50k AUD minimum in here in Oz. This one would have been $60k+ AUD. We bought a base Cooper version and I stored my bike rack under the rear floor. Low roof height makes it easy to load bike on roof too.

Well maybe because those are two different currencies. She's talking about Aussie dollars, which is around 1.5 to 1 US dollar. Making this around $34K in the USA.

Jeff Stryker same but I needed the bigger boot and higher ride height hence why I chose this. Quirky styling better than bland VW IMHO too.

Well it's not a Mini anymore is it, it's more of a SUV now. Lose the brand name and rename it because it definitely has lost it's original shape, which was meant to be small!

It's just a "Posh" oversized, over priced, over rated frumpy car for families, with a Mini badge on it. Not much different to the fiat 500 on steroids. God awful looking. At least the 2012 countryman didn't look as clumsy or as frumpy. Slightly smaller dimensions.
