I'm so glad I found this channel thank you so much for going so in-depth you know what you're talking about. I'm actually building my mini Cooper on my channel and decided to go turbo so finding this channel is a blessing 🙏🙏🙏
Ian, can't say I have - I think with the circa 5mm stretch over 80,000 miles I am happy that this is probably 20 years worth of driving in this car for me. Personally I do not have enough information to know what is needed in terms of the grain structure of the chain and maybe it needs to stretch a little? I would say that it is beneficial to change them on higher miles but you can see why cars that have done over 100k keep needing tensionors as the stretch maybe 7mm?
Hey great content thank you. I have recently purchased an Alta light weight crank pulley but having second thoughts my car is a daily and beautiful. Would you run one on an otherwise stock engine W/17% sc pulley or would you leave it stock Thank you for your time it really is hard to get a straight answer
Hi with the 1000cc injectors, have you had to replace the fuel pump to something like a death werks ? Love the idea of the individual coil packs have seen them on another couple of r53 turbos but they always refer to them as Audi r8 coil packs lol. Probably like the way it sounds.
I did replace the fuel pump to a walbro 255 not sure if I needed to or not as I'm not pushing the 1000cc yet as I could have probably used 550cc. The coil packs are those Audi designed for the R8. Don't know why but the R8 coils do deliver a very good spark but not too expensive for the performance offered
Thank you, there is a block made that fixed in there printed in ABS off a 3d printer then there is fat boy filler over the top as that filler does shrink and grow very much. If I really had spare time I've wanted to make a clear cover...
It's the original modified, I didn't want the coil dent without the coil pack. Looks much better. I added a plate and then smoothed it in to avoid cutting into the cover.
thank you for your great video !! :) if it is not too much to ask, is it possible to have the links where to order its parts or then of good site of parts for mini again a big thank you to you !! :)
@@rkde2042 yes I doubt I understand but even addresses to make to measure because there I am looking to make the exhaust manifold but I can not find much I wonder if I will not do it myself if it continues thank you for responding to my previous message
@@vassilieff1 for manifolds you can hop onto eBay or Facebook and search Elliott at unit10 both will make them for £750~£850. All my parts are either from Orranje or 1320. Orranje source parts not listed on the site if you need something specific. I'd do kits but it would be a year away yet
Currently a vipec but on my site I sell some fancy units rkde-automotive.co.uk and honestly the fuel tech units have got me quite excited. The ECU masters black is a great unit too
