I think you should make a video explaining the Earthship concept, (it seems that you have access to other earthships from other videos of yours) and the philosophy. Also the earthships seem to be only be acceptable in some areas of the country; where other areas might not have the correct weather/biome to create; as well as building codes. I have seen only a few earthship videos before hand and never really found a good video explaining the why and where of it. Although I am enjoying the how to in this series.
The thermal capacitance of water is pretty high and I'm surprised it was separated from the structure. for greenhouses in colder areas I have seen the water reservoir inside no only to prevent freezing but also to help regulate the temperature. Great video, try to upload more often !
Thanks for the comment. I'll keep all that in mind for future videos. To answer your question on the water cistern being on the outside of the insulation. It will be insulated and buried to prevent freezing, but it will be separated from the mass of the interior walls. The older earthships had their water storage tanks in their greenhouse for the reason you mentioned. Water works great for stabilizing and storing temperature. The problem is that in the colder months, when snow is melting and coming into the tanks, it makes the water cold, which takes away from the heat stored in the house.
