@lindatumminelli2895 yes we LOVE that movie.....we loved when Nathan was being taught to "act like a man" and he split the toast! And Robin said "the thing is, not to go to pieces when you split the toast"! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

@RichMiniatures
@RichMiniatures 15 дней назад
@chrisdavis7720 oh bless you Chris! I'm glad I was there to help just a little, but please try not to feel sad! I know sometimes this just doesn't work, but someone once said to me, that we go about our days feeling all sorts of emotions. But we do this without thinking, we just let it happen. And then they said, it doesn't matter what is happening in that moment, we do actually have a choice, of how to react to the situation!!! And I've NEVER forgotten those words. So something that's annoying could be happening right now, that would make you automatically angry. But that's because you've just let thise feelings happen without thought, because it's the obvious way to feel. But if you stopped at that point and thought "you know what, I'm going to CHOOSE not to feel angry", then it's quite amazing sometimes, how your brain can actually make you feel differently at that point in time! I'm not sure I've said all this in a clear way, but hopefully you'll get my gist. Actually, sometimes (like in a month when my finances are down to next to nothing because all the bills have come out and I don't know if I'll have enough learnt by the end of the month) then I feel at my lowest. But because I'm constantly trying to get videos out to my "family" and don't want yo give up and let them down, I often say to myself "I can actually CHOOSE not to let this get me down" and I can CHOOSE to be "happy" and chat to my "family" to show them what I'm up to today! And it works!

Rich! The I84 Diner in Fishkill, New York, is owned by my nephew, whose father had it built in the early 1970's, It has had many renovations. My husband and I (native New Yorkers )I live near Seattle, but this past winter we went east and celebrated my granddaughter's graduation at a party in dining hall of the I84. She graduated from the CIA (Culinary Inst. of America) as a pastry chef. So if you and John ever go back to the I84, ask for George and tell him his aunt Maroulio, Kristina's mother, is a 'family' friend of your channel. (He has more than one aunt Maroulio- it a family name!) Just watched the rest of video, amazing mini Deco & palm tree!

@maroulio2067 OH MY GOODNESS!!! I absolutely couldn't believe it when I read your comment! You brought it all back to me just like it was yesterday! And I spend my time on youtube, saying that I think of us as one big "family" and without talking, none of us know just how close we really all are! As soon as you said Fishkill, it was like a light bulb moment, because I instantly remembered it's in Fishkill. It was such a vivid experience for me, I remember exactly how it looked on the outside, where the main door is, on the corner of the building, with the ramp up to the doors. As you go in, we went to the left and sat by the window looking out onto the carpark (because I wanted to see all the American cars). Oh what a small world Maroulio! You've really made my day, thank you 🙏

Hello Richard, I really enjoyed today's video, the little house looks fabulous, I love the Palm tree. 1/144 scale is very fiddly, I've only attempted that scale once, I bought a kit from petite properties, it was a challenge lol, I've built and furnished quite a few 1/48 house, but 1/144 is too small for me, now I'm loosing fine motor skills with the MS I've gone back to 1/12 scale. The people that build the teeny tiny railway sets amaze me they are even smaller 🤯 Have a great rest of the week ☀️ Best Wishes to You, John, and the Kitties from sunny Yorkshire 😊☀️

@diane64yorks hello Diane, I'm pleased you enjoyed today's video! 😊 you are right, this scale doesn't take up much room, but it's so fiddly and a bit sore on the old bones! But I love the result so much, and am looking forward to placing in the larger Art Deco house soon 😀

Fantastic! I loved watching the tiny house evolve. And that is a great palm tree! My father was a bellhop in one of the old Art Deco hotels (no longer there) during the 1940's in Miami when he was a teenager. I have some little bits of memorabilia from his time there. You captured it beautifully. Your reference to the diner on I84 makes me think that you were at the 84 Diner in Fishkill, NY. Great food, large portions and delicious baked goods. And Rich, I think that you could sell those three pots that adhered to the kiln batt, because to me the piece as a whole looks like a display that would be seen in a Native American museum with little bits of earth sprinklied between. Have a great day!

@@UlsterCountyNY thank you for sharing that wonderful piece of family history with me! I love to hear stories of the past like that. I can just picture your father in such surroundings back then!
