I enjoyed your comment where you said in essence, that we should not confine ourselves to what compliments our looks but what makes us happy. I needed that.
Beautiful phrase Ana: "We use clothes to adjust to the reality around." It's so true. The way we look outside is often the way we feel. I had never seen you so happy. Stay well! =)
I love your new additions! More importantly, I love you, my dear. Still sane, in spite of all the “stuff” you have been through. I admire and appreciate your wisdom and commitment to the things in life that matter.
Growing up in Poland, I was very self-conscious of my pale skin, particularly legs and would also never show them in the summer. All because the beauty standard was/is taned skin and people would look or make comments about "you need to get some sun" and stuff like that. After moving to Canada though, I realized very quickly that nobody here cares. It was very liberating.
I got teased for having pale skin as a kid in the US. I lived in Japan for a while and people told me my pale skin was beautiful 😅 it gave me a different perspective. As an adult, I just try to embrace the fact that I'm pale.
My husband and I love linen. I love loose fitting clothing. I have fibromyalgia and am autistic so a slightly rough seam or tight sleeve physically hurts if I wear it for more than a few minutes. Your new wardrobe pieces are beautiful. I crochet (and knit) for comfort, too, and most of the things I make are passed on to charity. Blessed Be
It must be very challenging to find the right fit and the fabric that is gentle enough on your skin, my friend... It's so touching that you crochet/knit items for charity 💖 Sending much love!
Refreshing video as usual! I must admit that as I get older, I find myself choosing just the clothes that I want to wear...mixing different styles, fabrics and colors that I used to be so particular about....allowing myself the freedom to invent what I feel most comfortable in is very uplifting. Having reinforced this idea is exactly what I needed to hear! Thank you again, Ana!
Dear Ana. Thank you for sharing this video. I don't like the heat and humudity and prefer cooler weather. Have to say that the shorts look good on you, no need to feel insecure 😊. As you say: nobody cares about it, you are the only one who pays attention and it's only important how you feel. Best wishes 👋
Dear Anna, I can't tell you how much I appreciate and love your content and can't thank you enough for the simple yet intense things I got to learn from you. you are truly amazing. also I loved your previous wardrobe and the current updated wardrobe is lovely too. It feels so fresh and thoughtfully curated. you never cared about the trends and managed to remember why you bought a piece. I especially liked your boho shirt. I hope you let yourself get that dress you long for soon.
Dear Ana, thank you for sharing your clothes items. I agree with you about the leggings. I’m 74 & live with my husband for the past 21 years on our 47’ sailboat in the San Francisco area. I have several pair of leggings & they are the most comfortable, I even sleep in them on chilly nights. Always look forward to your videos. 🍃🌷🍃
I absolutely love your updated wardrobe! I loved how you dressed since your early videos. It's feels so original to me and seems very comfortable. Your knitted collars are so pretty, I'm glad you kept a few of them. And I think your legs are beautiful are nothing to be self-conscious about! Best wishes for the weekend to the two of you 💐
I love how you celebrate here what you needed to be comfortable and feel like your authentic self. It is so hot where I live right now and I have had to buy some new items - ironically what has me feeling more comfortable is more sporty in style and I’ve had to overcome some weird feelings about letting go of items that don’t feel right to me anymore. Thanks for the encouragement to listen to what we need ❤️
ANA. You are amazing. And I loved all the outfits on you...all of them. Well except for the hat! Make yourself a hat the color of your eyes. Blessings from one empath to another.
Albania looks so beautiful. You must be getting lots of happy chemicals from the sun. I wish i could wear those outfits but its so cold here in Australia! So jealous, haha. I'm so glad you've reunited with Brian. Thank you as always for your lovely content, Ana xxx
I'm loving your summer style! That black dress is so cute, I'd totally wear it ❤️ I have never worn anything made of linen, it's not so common in Brazil (not anymore, at least - my grandma used to say grandfather only wore linen suits). It looks so comfy and has a beautiful texture! Natural fibers are my favorite, too.
I am feeling for you in the heat! I notice how caringly you touch the clothes and how lovingly you talk about them. It made me think of how, when we are minimalists, we are likely to appreciate the things we do buy, even more. It is not how some people think it, we don't hate things, we are just very conscious of what we bring into our lives. I have been wanting some shorts. I bought three in a thrift store, and they are waiting for me to alter them to fit me better. But temperature here is only 18-21 C so I am not too motivated to do it right now.
It's such a great point! Not hating things but just appreciating them more. Oh yes, your weather is not ideal for shorts, too chilly. Hope it will get warmer! 🤗
As I have grown older, I have realized that rayon and other man-made materials are uncomfortable. Unfortunately, items with cute prints are often made of things I cannot wear. I am in total agreement with you on natural, sustainable fabrics like cotton, linen, wool, and bamboo. I never realized the versatility of wool until I bought my first wool t-shirt, and I found I could wear it without roasting!
I am currently wearing wide full length linen trousers with a really comfy waistband and a long sleeve linen shirt, everything is loose and baggy! I recently saw a fashion guru saying that you should never wear loose top and bottom at the same time but it is hot here and I won’t get sunburned if I’m covered in loose clothes. I hate wearing “plastic” clothes the just feel sweaty, as though I was wearing a bin bag.
Hello Ana. Well, clothes... My grandma and ma were sewing my whole childhood. So did I, when my adult kids were in childhood too. Nowadays I just buy clothes for it's purpose... And I use green, blue, grey, light brown... Mostly because it's fitting my campervan's colours, AND is the colour of adventure 😁. I think I read to many books about different Expeditions round the world,t in the pass. When I am in my campervan, there have to be clothes that Dry very fast. So I am mostly sticked to wear gym clothes, and rain/snow covers. I also have found some nice jackets and pants (designed) in the Red Cross' shop...just love them. Lately I have lightened it up with some light shirts, that I wear instead of jacket when it is hot and windy outside. Wear it opened with a thin gym jersey under. Today I am sitting under a tarp, surrounded of small Birch trees and giant Night King Candle plants. It is in a small camping spot here in south of Sweden, but it feels like the subburb of the djungle 😁 Best wishes 🤗
What a serene picture of your current surrounding you've presented, dear friend! I can envision it so clearly 😍 I also love your "adventure" palette! Sending much love to Sweden 💚
@@anagoldberg I didn't told you about my new friends here at the camping spot... Tiny small rabbits, tiny small singing birds - all hiding in bushes next to me, from camping people/kids/dogs etc. Hmm... Ancie, accidently, drops pieces of wal nuts and peanuts.. oops.. 😁
Ana, your new additions to your wardrobe are wonderful and you look amazing in all your new purchases! I’m so glad that your kept some of your collars and you did a fabulous job on your knit purse. I have also never seen anyone look so beautiful in head wraps. Wow! A big hug to you and Bryan. Stay safe and well. Judy in Arizona 🌵
I love the clutch Ana. I would love you to do a video on how to make one. It's beautiful. I love how you lined it. I can crochet squares. Never thought of doing that. That made my day! I'm going to give it a try.😘
Hi Barbara! This bag literally consists of 4 granny squares and a band that forms the bottom and the sides. But honestly, you can even do without the band - just squares. I've been also thinking of crocheting a bigger bag of 8 or more squares. There are plenty of great tutorials here on youtube. And I hope one day I'll feel confident enough to film some tutorials myself 😉 💖
Hey Ana and Brian! So happy to see your latest communique. Ana, your legs are lovely - and the shadows under your eyes have completely gone now. As I said before, you strongly resemble a revered film star and an equally revered musician, all three of you classic natural beauties with profound core energies. And in the end, that's what matters most, isn't it? Who we are deep inside. When that is allowed to manifest in how you care for and carry your external self, nothing else matters. And what you are, through-in and throughout, dear Ana, is an honest, peace-loving, mindful, love and light-filled woman in a happy present marriage with her like-minded life partner, which makes her glow at her brightest. Choosing and re-evaluating which foods, fibers and clothing pieces work best for you, what to keep and release, and where to travel or rest at any moment should complement all the above. Be comfortable with yourself. Some things I do with triple-digit heat: sleep during the day (like the animals), dig a cool nest in the soil at the base of a shady tree on a mountaintop (more animal wisdom), nap in a tub of cool water, visualize and affirm my atoms, cells and molecules as peppermint ice cubes, add liquid chlorophyll peppermint concentrate to my bottle/glass of water, add peppermint oil/leaves/liquid castile soap to my bath water, let the peppermint castile soap sit on my skin and hair like a mask for a few minutes before rinsing to produce a prolonged cooling effect. That helps when you have to be awake and working during the day, and also when nights are hot. In addition, my friends from the Middle East enjoy Rooh Afza (a sweet rose-based concentrate, mixed into a beverage) as a counterpoint to the desert heat. So if there's an Arabic-culture store in your area, you can probably find it there and ask what to mix it with. Another refreshing beverage is lassi, made with yogurt (which can be made with plant milks) and fruit. Tabbouleh is a refreshing Mediterranean salad made with mint. And always carry peppermint candies in your pocket/purse. You can pop them into your water, your mouth, your bath, and they're usually easy to access and affordable. Find a swing to sit and sway in with Brian or take turns pushing each other in a swing at a park. Natural, cool fun. Turn out the lights inside when the sun is up and bright. The shade in the room will help your mind and body think it's cooler inside. That you donated released items to a resale shop that benefits local charities is no surprise. That's who you are, which is why I subscribe to your channel and enjoy your videos. I would like the machine-less pattern for the crochet clutch. While I do have a machine gifted by my mother and sister when I moved to the countryside, I also enjoy hand sewing. I used to make hand-sewn embellished cross-stitch monogrammed accent pillows as personal gifts, and would like to do something like that again as a business. And I love your Siberian snowflake pattern, color palette and lining. It made my mind start churning with ideas. Bright blessings, all. Bukka bukka!
What a beautiful piece of kindness and wisdom! Thank you so much, dear Belinda 🤗 I love all the tips and will surely try them. Wishing you a creative, beautiful Sunday ❤️
@@anagoldberg Another refreshing summer dish - gazpacho, which originates from Spain, but the ingredients are easily available everywhere and can be grown on your patio in containers. Basically a raw vegan soup with fresh tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, onion and garlic. It juxtaposes the cooling cucumber against the tiny bit of pepper, which you and Brian can adjust to taste or leave out. Highly recommend. If you get watermelon, be sure to make a sweet preserve of the rinds. My aunt got loads of compliments on hers, and it's recycling leftovers and something you can use for bartering, which you could also do with the gazpacho ingredients re-imagined with cilantro as salsa. Multi-purposing. Another food-related thing my full-time truckamping cousin in California does is freelance cooking in homes for families and parties. This way she uses their equipment and utensils, they front the money for groceries, and she makes large batches, so they have a) plenty for the meal, b) some for later, and c) she gets a portion as part of her fee. Just be sure to mask up, take Brian to help and see if they'll let you film it as a recipe and home entertaining decor episode. Bright blessings.
Yes! 'We don't need to only get the things that flatter us' - I so agree with you - it is something that I only realised in the last year or two. It's so amazingly freeing to realise that we don't have to conform always :D
I have the same preferences.... looser and natural fibers! I don't go with the "fashion", I buy what feels comfortable and what I feel suits me. Your new pieces are lovely and you look so happy... that makes me happy xoxo
I love linin. I'm fortunate to have several very good second hand shops near me. I have a lot of beautiful linin thanks to them. Your new shift is lovely.
Ana, your clothes are so free spirit. My choice of style is comfort first, with a loose fit and soft fabrics. Simple, clean, and fresh. You are so talented and beautiful. I think you would make a perfect model for vintage-style clothes. Love you. Paka paka.
I just love you new clothes. Everything looks good on you and they don't look second hand at all. Love your videos and so glad you are both together again.
Ana what a great video as always! I really enjoy and appreciate the way you talk about clothes and how you value your belongings. Everything is precious and treasured and it feels like you are not taking your possessions for granted and really acknowledge what they bring you on a daily basis. I love how creative you are as well. You truly are inspiring! Take care 💓
Hi Ana, looser clothing is definitely best, especially now the hot weather is here. Lovely cotton's and linens billowing around are so much cooler as they allow the air to circulate underneath. In winter it's big cosy sweaters and chunky cardigans (I really feel the cold!) Leggings are great too and versatile, especially if I want to wear a dress in winter. I try to buy second hand, if I can and make some of my sweaters too. Hoping that you are enjoying the summer weather. Take care x
Your clutch bag is beautiful - hope you get to make more and your approach to clothing resonates hugely with me, especially textures as a form of protection. Thanks for sharing and yes you look a lot more relaxed - long may it continue ! X
Your videos bring me so much joy and inspiration. I love your sense of style and like you, I prefer loose-fitting clothes. And like you, I am and always have been self-conscious of my legs and arms, since age 17, because they did not look and do not look like the models I see in the magazines. I wonder if I will ever be able to overcome this. Now than I am 67, I know I really should not care! So so glad and grateful you here on RU-vid. If only I could have such a close and caring friend/sister like you in my life! Sending you and Brian loving and positive vibes from New Jersey USA.
Our insecurities are so complex and often hard to overcome and that's why I totally understand you, dear Kathleen. We should all let ourselves be vulnerable and imperfect... Your kind words are so heartwarming 🌸 Thank you so much! Sending love to New Jersey 💖
I love your new additions! ❤️ I also absolutely love linnen. I prefer loose fitted shirts and pants in summer. It makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. Nice video 💕
Dear Ana, you are so so sweet, thank you very much for your new and wonderful video. I enjoyed very much watching it. I love you to be so attentive and carefull about everything and in this case your wardrobe. Take care, enjoy Albania and the reunion with Brian. Lots of love and light from Germany and a big hug
Hi Ana, I get you about insecurities. I have them too. I see you and you look so good. You’re legs look fine. They’re not transparent or paper white 😂 trust me your legs look so good. You look so pretty with dresses too. I’m so happy to see you happy and safe and free. We’re always here to support and love you girlie. It’s nice to see you
I'm in a similar situation. I moved to another state which is much warmer than where I have been living for the past 9 years. I put some of the warmer clothes in storage for a while since I think I won't need them until winter. But I also discovered the weather here was so hot I felt like I didn't have enough shorts or clothes made of thin material. I ended up buying a few clothes and I will see how they work for me, I might have to buy more things eventually.
Hi Ana! Shoutout from a Ukrainian/Russian living in Australia. Your videos are so beautiful and peaceful and inspiring. I have decided to let go of fast fashion after doing a huge wardrobe declutter just a couple of days ago.
Hi Valerie! Oh, so happy to meet you here 🤗 Wow, you have your declutter experience so fresh, only two days ago! congrats, my friend 🌸 It's such a liberating feeling.
Love your choices Ana! I am sitting here on a hot day in Greater London whilst watching you in my blue loose linen smock dress! Linen smocks are my favourite because they can be worn alone, over a top or under layers. I can't stand any itchy fabric so I can't wear wool next to my skin but would wear it over a cotton shirt. Hope that you and Brian are well. Unfortunately I can't sign up for your Patreon as I am unwaged but wish you success with it. Have a lovely weekend. x
Linen smocks are so versatile and gorgeous to style with anything 😍 I always cherish you being here, dear friend. Thank you so much💚 Wishing you a beautiful weekend!
I have no wish list, except the wish to wear more intentionally the clothes (too many!) I already have.🙂 As for fit, cozy is the best--it feels like a mother's embrace.🧡
Hello Ana I'm so glad to see that you look more serene these days. I love all your videos, the deep ones and the fun ones :) You could easily have a colour similar to the t- shirt you are wearing with dipping your boho blouse in tea. You leave it for a few minutes , stirring a little, then rince. You can put some vinegar in the rince water if you want. But you are so right in saying that we don't always have to wear things that flatter us but makes us happy! It is very wise :)
I'm amazed that even with everything you've been through you still took the time to seek out beautiful secondhand clothes. I live in the subtropics and linen is one of my favourite fabrics to wear. I hope that one day in the near future you are able to get another sewing machine.
Hello, beautiful! It is good to see you adjusting to hot weather :) I have the hardest time with shorts. They either feel too baggy on me or too tight, fitting my waist well or my hips well but never both. Good luck finding the right summer dress! Nothing beats the feeling of light linen on a hot day when a breeze rolls in ❤️
I have a friend who is so pale that she jokes her legs aren't white, they're blue. She wears shorts in summer all the time though, no worries. I love your crocheted purse Ana.
I love your new wardrobe pieces. Like you I prefer looser fitting clothing. Tight clothing leaves me feeling claustrophobic and itchy. Have a great week Ana and Brian! 🌞☺️🥰
Just catching up and watched this video today! I love the additions and happy you are getting cooler by adding them! The head wraps are so cute on you! But I confess that blue dress with the collar is right up my alley 🤣 stay safe and much love to you & Brian.
I agree with wearing what makes you happy. I'm currently wearing a pair of wide-leg linen trousers in magenta. As a natural freckly redhead this is a colour I have never worn before. I bought them in a charity shop and planned to dye them darker but I just love the colour as it is.
Haha, interestingly I also wanted to dye the shirt but then just left it as it is! And it was a very liberating feeling. I bet your magenta trousers look stunning on you because they make you happy 💚
Goodmorning Ana! Nice video! I hope everything goes well in ur new life. Boho style looks nice on u. Keep going on and make more videos. Have a lovely day! Regards from cyprus🙂
Hi Ana, my dear friend ❣ I enjoyed watching your video. It was again so fully packed with good vibrations/energy, wisdom, honesty, self awareness, modesty and most of all: with so much love 😍. Thank you for sharing your personal feelings with us🙏. Lately I was able to spend some time in croatia where I made similar experiences like you concerning the temperatures and not being very sure about me showing too much of my body.. until I understood that no one else really cares about it but me💡 Concerning the fabrics, I love natural materials as linnen, cotton, tencel. Plastic items also left my wardrobe, piece by piece..😄 I wish you all the best 🍀💖 Lots of love from germany
Hello, dear Corinna! Oh, tencel is such a wonderful fabric too! I used to have a tee that lasted for several years despite VERY frequent washes. Hope you enjoyed your time in Croatia 🌞 Thank you so much for your kindest words. Sending you love 💚
Hi Ana, I always love your idiosyncratic choice of clothes which also suit you so well and I particularly like the items you have recently added to your wardrobe. Your choice of colours match so well together, I think it is because you have an artist’s eye for it. Leggings really suit you and I’m glad you’ve given your legs a treat by coming out into the open during such hot weather - they won’t be white for long. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with white legs and arms. I too prefer to wear oversized, roomy clothes rather than tight fitting ones, especially with tops, though I do like wearing narrow trousers. And yes to natural fibres and linen is a must in hot weather.
Ditto, I rarely wear any unnatural fabrics and often buy from the gents section. Primark usually has big soft gents tshirts on sale for £1 and they last for years. Maybe I don't need to keep buying them though 😕xx
You look radiant and happy and I very happy for that. Glad that you spoke about the effect of certain fabrics on your skin. That happen to me also. My skins is very sensitive with the age.Love your selection of beautiful pieces. I will love to incorporate more linen myself for the summer. Here is hot too and I walk to do all my errands. Wow your message is always amazing. I always to enjoy your videos. Thank you for lifting up my heart. Last thing is your legs are beautiful . Love only love for both of you.
Love your wardrobe. I love loose fitting linen clothes as well. They are so comfortable. It has been in the high nineties to 100 degrees here in North Carolina.
I prefer natural fibres, looser fits and sustainability. I have a cotton top, a sort of fisherman’s smock, that I bought in 1976 when I was still at school. I love it so much, it’s still going strong despite its age.
Hi Ana!, Here in Italy summer is very hot too, and I love wearing linen clothes in neutral colours. I got 2 pairs of wide long trousers and a mid skirt with wooden bottons, but also linen shorts and white shirts (I'm obsessed with white shirts). My style is a little bit "colonial" with masculine accent but also with romantic details; it is a style that makes me feel comfortable and at the same time refined, and I love summer because of it!!! BTW you're are beautiful in your new clothes!
You wardrobe is beautiful! I particularly love those plum colored leggings. I prefer to wear looser clothing, and soft cotton and linen dresses are some of my favorite wardrobe items. The crocheted clutch you made is so pretty! I would really enjoy having something like that. You are so talented, Ana. I live in Texas and we are currently experiencing days on end of temperatures well over 100 degrees, but my body is used to it. I am sure that you, coming from Siberia, are having a hard time adjusting to it. Thanks for sharing, Ana. I really enjoy your videos. Sending lots of hugs your way! ❤️
Thanks so much for your kindest comment, Jennifer! Wow, over 100 degrees! It's amazing how our bodies are able to adjust to almost anything. Sending love your way to Texas😊💖
I love linen so much! I just bought a pair of navy linen shorts also. I love the boho top!! I hope it lasts for a long time. Too bad the tags were missing I would love to find one similar.
Ana I love your updated wardrobe. You are very stylish and I love jow tour clothes are always carefully chosen and loved. Your vidéos always bring me much joy and I'm glad to see you happy. I wish you could receive parcels because I would love to send you a linen dress that's been staying in my closet for too long and I think it would be perfect. Love from France
I dislike artificial fabrics also, favouring silk, wool and cotton. Naturals are so much better. Your new wardrobe is functional and practical but also you have managed to find styles and colours that suit you. Don't concern yourself about your legs - they look absolutely fine. Good luck and best wishes for your new life. You are a fabulous woman!
That’s some serious heat you’re dealing with. The little purple bag you crocheted is really pretty! The only fabrics I wear are cotton, linen, bamboo and rayon, not sure what rayon is but I like it. I like the loose lagenlook. I don’t have anything with polyester, just doesn’t feel comfortable to me. Once in awhile I’ve gotten something with a little poly in it and as soon as I notice it I put it up on eBay.
Hi Ana, thanks for sharing this with us. Very interesting this made me think about how we let "things" come in and out of our life and which are the criteria we should apply? Walking this path you seem to have created new space in yourself, leaving so much behind, not only material is without doubt a truly transformative experience. It really inspired me to see how now you choose to welcome those "things" which provide you with wellbeing and not only functionality or unhealthy attachment. Maybe it's time to declutter your insecurities related to your legs now 😉 as you said its only in your head Love and light Flavia
Hi, Flavia! This is such an interesting invitation to think - the way we're letting things into our life and decluttering them... thank you for your kindest words 🌸 Sending love back to you!
I wish linen was more available where I live (in MIchigan, USA) I must not be shopping at the right thrift stores lol! It's difficult to find even in the fabric stores. The purse you crocheted is SO CUTE! I'm inspired to crochet one for myself now!
Love the new items, Ana! Especially the leggings and the flannel shirt, they suit you beautifully. I honestly think you have fabulous legs, my friend 😌 I also loved the baby lizard footage at the end of the video. When I was a little girl there were tons of them around my parents' house and I would feed them and play with them and even give them names haha! 😍🦎 have a lovely day!
Hi Ana, last month I bought a blue linen shirt, I felt a little bad because it is from a fast fashion brand, but it fits me so well (I finally find my size, I am a petitte woaman and they have size xxs, and it is an oversize shirt model). P.S. I love you'r linen dress
Congrats on a great purchase, my friend! 🌻 I don't think we should feel guilty for buying fast fashion in situations when we really like the item, it's good quality and fits us perfectly. I have a good deal of fast fashion things in my wardrobe and love them 😊
I love your rooted-in-place description of the blue color of the Tee. And I'd totally buy an ivory crocheted collar from you. Perhaps an Etsy vendor in your future?! But yes, skip the synthetics. They'll never hold up as well as wool. And darling, when you finally have no more f*cks what other people think, you're free in more ways than one. Hugs.
YOU look wonderful, relaxed, comfortable, and safe giving you peace. I wear 100%cotton, it feels good against my skin. I wear loose. I had an injury a year ago, w/in a couple of weeks I loss muscle mass, my legs and calves had always been muscular. BAM, that changed, A hear later I still have that same muscle loss. My skin went from a natural tan to white, white white. The injury changed me alot, oh and hair loss, I always had thick hair! A yr now, my hair loss stopped, regrowth, skin a bit less pale, beautiful muscular legs not the same. My life was saved re Duke Hospital, Durham NC, I don't fret, I am grateful. I love your spirit!
So sorry to hear about your injury and the hard recovery process, my friend. You're so strong! It's really inspiring 🌿 Sending you the best wishes and support 🌞
Just embrace or accept, bodies change, injuries, illnesses. Accept I suppose... Also, I do not like ALOT of clothes, I wear shorts all year round, blouses Long sleeve LLBean pretties. I've been approached from strangers, that I look like a Pro Tennis Player, I tell them no, they don't believe me. We are not the beliefs we have of "self", since, there is no self. Our cells are constantly changing, out thoughts, "clinging and fixed ideas are unhelpful. I do no know you, this I know, you are wonderful just way you are! Oh btw, your BAG, its beautiful!!!!! I would buy it in a second! You could be a bag designer! Seriously!
HI ana, love everything you managed to get for your new wardrobe. I love linen, cotton and flannel. I have a checked flannel shirt which is 10 years old and I love it. I also sleep under flannel sheets winter and summer, like you I love the comforting feel of them. Did you knit or crochet your loose beanie, it is beautiful, looks lovely on you. Im so pleased you kept three of your collars, they are so beautifully made. Your clutch bag is beautiful and you can add a long strap to wear as a crossbody bag. Your talent is wonderful, as is your art🙏i am also only wearing what I love and it feels good. Funnily enough the clothes I love and wear the most are my oldest ones. Just an idea, if you find a length of patterned cheesecloth or cotton, hem it all round and wear at home tied in different ways as a sarong, so cool to wear in hot weather. Regards to Brian. Big hug and take care Gale x
Hi, Gale! I love the sarong idea - I actually have two linen scarves and maybe can arrange them into something for wearing as clothes. Flannel sheets sound fantastic! I never knew they make such. Yep, I crocheted that cotton beanie about two years ago and wear it in summer mostly, have been forgetting to show it in the wardrobe videos before:) Thank you for your kind words 🤗 Sending you much love from both of us 💖
Pyne and Smith have some gooorgeous summer linen dresses, but they're so crazy expensive and are also in the US. Maybe it's possible to sow something similar!
Hello, Ana. I love your additions. They all look so cool and comfortable? Can you possibly share the brand of the yoga pants that you like so much and that lasted so long? I'm in search of some quality ones and am in the US, so this brand might be it. Hugs. P.S. I also prefer a looser fit.
Hello, Christina! The leggings brand is "Hard Tail Forever". Right now, I have a "high rise" model, and before, it was a "flat waist" - both super comfortable and long-lasting. And they are also thick enough but at the same time breathable. Very much worth the price. Hope it's helpful 💖
You look fabulous in all your clothing items! Right now I have a back injury for 4 months already, so I wear what I can get on easily which is looser clothing and t shirts as well as my thin linen long skirt. I have even more paler legs than you. But I am going to just get over the worry about them.
You added some beautiful pieces to your wardrobe! Personally, I like clothing to be more tailored to the body but the material has to be natural fibre and it has to be very soft.
About synthetic fabrics. Ewww, yeah. Me too! They all feel so weird! I can wear them as a top layer, but I really find the texture of synthetics against my skin to be VERY distracting.
@@anagoldberg And wow, it is going to be very hot in Albania later this week. 38ºC (100ºF) Be careful in that high heat! It was 38ºC where I live yesterday, and my afternoon walk was slowwwww.... 🥵
You look lovely! Did I miss if you said the brand of the American leggings? I have been on a search for comfort leggings for a while, would love to know.
Hi, Marla! The brand is called "Hard Tail Forever". My old leggings were "flat waist" type, and the new ones are "high rise", and both are equally comfortable and durable. Hope this helps 💖
I have found myself with a distinct habit of choosing tight fit athletic clothing for exercising and loose fitting layers for all other activities. I love & wear a lot of linen as well as other natural fibers, but also include other fabrics mostly in vintage pieces. I have a question for you that may be too personal. Do you happen to use henna & indigo for your hair? I ask because I have used it enthusiastically for about 20 years, during that time my hair has become partially white. My hair takes the plant dyes differently on different colors of hair, creating a unique effect. I've always admired your hair cut and color, & wondered if you also use plant powders for tinting it. Paka Paka! :)
So funny that you asked about the hair dye! Because I actually do use henna+indigo :) My hair is almost completely gray now - salt with a dash of pepper - but I love color so much that I'm not ready to embrace my grayness yet. Although, I took a break from natural dyes for about 5 months because the process is sooo long and the indigo smell gives me headache and sickness (I have no idea why). But the chemical dye that I used (it was high-quality, gentle, and professional) caused allergic reactions. So I'm back to henna+indigo. But again, 5 days ago when I did the dyeing procedure, I felt extremely sick and aversed to it. I have no idea what to do and which colorant to choose... Ugh, sorry for such a long reply but this issue is really on my list now:)) Also, it's pretty hard to get quality henna and indigo.
@@anagoldberg I can nearly always recognize a fellow henna-head! :) I get that same feeling of headache and sickness from indigo also-but not from henna! It's a most terrible feeling and a sensitivity I think. I prefer having pitch black hair but won't use chemicals anymore and no indigo because of reaction. You might look into mixing your henna with katam (another plant dye used for hair) instead of indigo, but it might be really hard to find. It gives shades of brown but not as dark as indigo sorry to say. Alternatively, you can get pretty dark color with just henna even over pure white hair with long application process & some people add a spoon of vinegar to the water-henna mixture (but I don't, too strong of a scent). Some people add a little amla to make the henna a bit more brown also. My hair is more than 50% white now and the rest is light brown, and I get to a dark auburn/burgundy color with just henna. I mix with warm not hot water and let it sit for about 6 hours, then apply for 4 hours. Of course it glows in sunlight but that is always the case with henna. I am in U.S. and use various henna brands, current favorite is Godrej Nupur 9 Herbs. It's henna mixed with conditioning herbs such as amla & aloe. I spent two years growing out my grays a few years ago but realized I wasn't ready for that either! I plan to use henna until my hair is pure white at least and maybe beyond. Sending you best wishes for your hair and new chapter in life! May it be as beautiful and creative as you are! Paka Paka!
@@wyrdwitch13 OMG, I'm so grateful you shared your experience and now I know I'm not the only who is aversed to indigo!! Yes, henna is totally fine and I even love the smell. I've experimented with mixing it with amla, black tea and coffee, but the result on my white hair is the same - very striking, carrot-type red that is not becoming at all... You've given me a glimpse of hope with katam. I need to find it because I dread going back to chemical colorants. Next week, we're going to the capital of Albania, Tirana, and I hope I'll be able to find something there. Thank you again, you gave me such an uplift, I thought I was going crazy with my sensitivity to chemicals and indigo 🤗❤
@@anagoldberg In my experience, getting quality henna that gives a deep stain is the most important element for getting to a darker red/auburn/burgundy on white/grey hair. I get only carrot red when using weak/poor quality henna! Second most important is using only warm to room temperature water and letting it dye release for many hours before applying. Thirdly, to apply for at least 4 hours and only rinse don't shampoo it out. I'm so glad I could be of some help! I sensed I could be somehow, glad I listened to my intuition. Enjoy your capital city trip! :)
