I could be on crack but I care more about getting bullpen help than I do starting pitching help at this point. Would I take a starter? Sure, but I'm not gonna give up a high level prospect for one. I think if somehow you could get someone like Aroldis Chapman or whatever for a bullpen guy, it might not cost much and it would help to find a more stable left handed option.

So glad Trev comes on here weekly. Jake REFUSES to talk Twins on Talkin Baseball, to the point where he gets visibly annoyed whenever Trev mentions them.

Kevin Gausman. He's had a poor season, but I think he still has the ability to be a middle of the rotation starter. Just needs a change of scenery. Plus we hardly have to give up anything, AND the Jays would probably eat a large chunk of his salary.

Nathan Eovaldi is a good target, Texas is probably gonna go in sell off mode to get below the luxury tax. He's owed this year and 17 million next year plus performance bonuses so Eovoldi shouldn't cost alot in prospects. Otherwise, the Twins should hold fast

I would love to get Eovaldi. Even another mid-rotation guy, need some more depth with Festa and SMW already making starts and Varland losing his chance to stick in the rotation.

They should've paid Sonny, and we gotta be real and move Varland to the bullpen for good. Realistically, I'd like to see us upgrade from Farmer and Vaz, who are hopeless.

I just can’t believe how little respect Bailey Ober gets here. Dex worships Ryan, Mackey loves Lopez but Ober gets no respect here and he has been pitching better than Ryan or Lopez the last month.

He hasn’t pitched better than Ryan. Last 5 starts Ryan has given up 10 runs in 32 innings. Ober has given up 11 runs in 33 innings. Ryan has had more consistent game scores over 60 in 4/5 starts. Ober has had game score over 60 in 3/5 starts. So they have been about the same the last month.

Ober suffers from a dead arm syndrome till this year and doesn't perform against winning teams, he's nothing more than a four or five in a rotation till he proves otherwise.

@@benjames4502i view him as a legit playoff #3 starter. 50/50 shot you have a chance to win with him. But I agree, he does hit a nice little wall towards the end of the year. 170-180 IP a year with a 3.8 - 4.2 era is probably his ceiling. He'll toss some clunkers which will inflate it.
