Shane, while Mint Mobile is a suitable option for many, it differs significantly from standard postpaid T-Mobile plans. First, you won’t get truly unlimited and uninterrupted data; that’s only available with T-Mobile and select plans. Second, during peak network congestion, Mint Mobile users may experience slower speeds, as postpaid customers receive priority. Most users might not notice these differences, but heavy data users could. As for the Google Pixel deal, it's decent but not exceptional. You’re essentially paying $1450 for a locked phone, whereas you might find comparable prices for unlocked models if you shop around and consider trade-in offers from Google or carriers.
We can talk through these, because I'm not sure you're getting everything completely correct. The data is unlimited, but you are throttled after 40GB. Most people will never get to that. I talked about slowdowns with congestion in the video and while the phones are locked, Mint says they automatically unlock them after 60 days on the network.
I have had mint mobile for 2 going on 3 yrs. I actually just bought a pixel fold thru this promotion and got a yr for 150$ I think. I've never had any issues with the speeds or data or throttling. It's as good if not better that what I got from T-Mobile. That's coming from a former T-Mobile employee, on obviously it's region specific but if there's T-Mobile there you shouldn't have a problem. Mint is a great option and that del for the pixel fold is amazing if you have an original fold you can trade it it in and basically pay like 1200 bucks 1yr of unlimited data and a new pixel fold.
@@scaryifliteral Shane, 180GB, 205GB 175GB, those are my last 3 months usage of my T-mobile Magenta Max plan. I'm pretty much sure that $15 dollars a month of Mint service won't let you use that much data! And yes, you are correct, they do unlock after 60 days so not a bad deal at all.
If you go mint for the pixel pro fold, might as well go with Google Fi with the $50 plan you can more off $800 total for two year deal and prioritize data and free pixel watch with no add on

Hey Shane, question for you about that Allstate insurance. Is there a way to get that on the phones without going through mint? Like I have my fold through Google and I got the Google insurance but I'm thinking I want that Allstate insurance based on your previous experience where they replace it with a brand new phone so I was just curious if you could point me in that direction

Been thinking about using a Pixel 9 as a 2nd phone to go along with my OnePlus 12. I'm on Metro and they charge $25 to move a sim card to another phone! Are you able to move your sim from phone to phone regularly without any issues? I used to do that on Cricket but then they white listed tons of phones.
I’m grandfathered into T-Mobile magenta max 4 lines that came with 2 free lines and T-Mobile internet at $25 a month and the wireless plans with MVNOs costs more if I had to leave lol

That test is a joke when it comes to the data. They give you 250mb for that 7 days which I can use that up with 1 speed test. I will say I opted just to purchase the unlimited plan and then I cancelled it when my 7 days were up, because they will refund within 7 days, and that was a much better test drive.
@@scaryifliteralwell I do everything over cellure, because I don't have wifi so 4k streaming video download and watching movies back up 4k full quality video to Google photos gaming. App and system update download over the network.
Fi's unlimited data is $50 a month - $600 a year. Significantly more expensive than this, even after the first year. Not sure what you're referring to?
