Loved playing this game, I bought it a couple weeks ago on sale cause I thought the games art style looked cooI, actually enjoyed the story in the game and certain moments had me absolutely shocked, the game was an amazing experience and I’m 100% going to play it again in the near future
"be prepared to be challenged" "the platforming and puzzles are child's play" This looks like the kind of game where you add the studio to your radar and hope to find out what their next thing is.
I wanted to like this game so much more than I did. Because the platforming and puzzles are so easy and there's lots of long repeated animations the game felt so slow and boring. I love the aesthetics and voice acting and actually was interested to see all the story bits. Just wish I could have watched it as a 20 minute animated short instead of playing through it.
so.. i love studio fizbin since innerworld. i expected this one to be similar quality since both of the other adventures i played were outstanding. this one was a miss for me though. i agree almost completly with this review dont get me wrong. its beautifiul visually and the soundtrack is awesome as well. it gets the feeling right and the idea for this darker naritive i liked as well. but after completing the game and doing a lot of exploration i was left disappointed mostly. To me the 2 core aspects of a good adventuregame are gameplay (puzzles) and story which this game doesnt offer much of. as stated most puzzles were childsplay and the navigation on the maps itself sometimes felt a little clunky especially when you want to go "down". Storywise it felt like half a story to me. it was as if i read the beginning of a grand story and then suddendly get chopped off after the setting is written down. As much as i want to give this game a good score i just cant recommend this game to others because it just lacks in a compelling story.
@@Zerephiehel ...no? The message is that you can't save the world on your own. That you might push your loved ones away by trying to protect them all by yourself. That sometimes, you have to accept all your struggles were useless and you have to let go. That your only way to survive is to leave, that you can't stay.
it has been explicitly said within the story that this corruption is spreading over the entire planet. you cannot hide from it. on top of it its increadibly stupid to do everything by yourself. which is what this mc is doing. the main reason this connection is wrong is because this isnt a just her thing. it is a if you really have to do something that ends in a collective extinction just give up.
Possibly intentionally named to sound like "Minute of Violence"? I don't know the story of the game (haven't played it yet), but perhaps there is a connection?
That's looking sweet. On a side note : is there a reason for the steam link to not be found on the review page on the Escapist ? A minor hassle of course but a bit annoying.
Is minute of islands like figment: journey in to the mind? I loved that game so much and I feel like it is but I’m not sure. Feedback would be appreciated!😄
I'm going to finish it but I found it to be very boring at one point they called the visions aggressive i would say maybe if your Bob Ross or Mr Rodgers it looks awesome but I would not buy again
