Miracle Bath Tub Cleaner 

The best trick I ever ran across was to clean the tub or shower with a sponge mop! No bending, stooping or getting down on your knees (almost impossible for me) I spray on the cleaner, wait a few mins and wipe down with the sponge mop. It works great and is so easy!

After reading the comments on vinegar, I googled it. Here's what I learned. :) "Regular white vinegar is 5% acidity and cleaning vinegar is 6% acidity. The one percent actually makes it 20% stronger. "

I tried this after watching your video and am AMAZED at how well it worked. Later that evening, while doing dishes, I had the urge to experiment. I have a frying pan that could only be cleaned with a scouring pad (it's old but reliable). I decided to try the tub cleaner on the frying pan. It worked! I had to wipe the pan with my cloth, but I didn't need my scouring pan. :) After doing the dishes, I used to cleaner to wash my sink down (including the chrome facets) and the sink was nice and shiny!! Good for you Bev! It does feel so good to be able to do things that we thought gone. Like several of your other subs have suggested, I plan to use a swiffer mop to so a little scrub before rinsing. Seeing is believing !

Mrs. Volfie, you are a Godsend. I too, am not capable of leaning over my tub and cleaning it due to 13 abdominal surgeries. This is a miracle in my book.

Thank you this worked for me... I had stained old tub... my daughter used a spray on panty hose that made her legs look tanned well she stood in the tub when she sprayed it on her well the it stuck to my tub..WHAT A MESS. I tried everything nothing worked to remove it... my tub looked horrible for almost a year... then I found your video!! Thank you my tub is so white now!!

After over 20 years of owning a cleaning service I didn't know this! However, Dawn and vinegar with salt will kill weeds so as a gardener that's also a good thing just don't use it where you have things you don't want to kill. Rubbing alcohol can also be used in showers on glass to eliminate spots. Always keep an open mind in trying something new.

I'd like to thank you for posting this video. I watched. I tried and guess what? It worked like a charm. Over time I tried various commercial products to remove soap scum from the sides and bottom of my tub. They did not work. This time though, I followed your instructions and off came the junk with no problem. Nothing left but a sparkling clean tub. Gonna use it on the sink also to bring it back to life. Thank you again. Love it! As someone who has rheumatoid arthritis& is totally disabled I so appreciate this, I always worry about falling when I get in tub to scrub, I am going to try this, I love vinegar to clean with & make my own dishwasher soap & use vinegar to keep dishes spot free. Plus you know you are not inhaling toxic fumes~

Pro Tip: Make sure the plastic bottle you use is #2 HDPE. If you don’t the vinegar can/will eat through inferior plastic. Also, this works with Sam’s Club Member’s Mark Liquid Dishwashing Soap. It’s Sam’s version of Dawn. I also, get my white vinegar from Sam’s too.

That is great ! I have back pain as well I use a mop the kind you have to wring out and I wash my tub with that in combination with dawn and baking soda mix , it makes a paste and it shines so good I have glass shower doors !!

OK I just did this today 3-2-22 Holy Crap it worked. I warmed up the vinegar, mixed dawn, in a pump sprayer. My shower was extremely dirty with oil, soap, mold, garden stuff. I cant bend down either so the Mop suggestion was great. I recommend a hand cloth just for the corners & spigot. I took my shower beforehand just to warm up the gunk. Left mixture on for just an hour & in 5 minutes I was done with a squeaky clean shower. Thanks for saving my health.

I mixed this up and tried it in my bathroom and that's all I use now. I also use the same ingredients to shampoo my carpet. I just put 2 tablespoons of vinegar and 1 tablespoon of the Dawn in the chamber where the shampoo solution goes then fill it up with water and use very hot water in the rinse tank of my shampooer. Thanks for all of the good ideas I have gotten from you.

I only heat mine when I first mixed it so it doesn’t separate. Like it better than toilet bowl cleaner, which is better for rusty iron stains. A good sprayer really helps, one is 360 sprayer. Great video!

HOLY CLEAN BATHTUBS!!!! I just made that concoction and cleaned my tub....not only does it look great, but it didn't stink me out for three days!!!!! thank you thank you for this helper!!!!! PS...I used the Walmart version of Blue dawn liquid...did fine job!!

holy smokes is right! I'm going to try this. I'm working on fixing up my house back where I grew up and since no one has been living with my dad to help him keep it up, the shower and toilet have both gotten pretty dingey. I can't wait to try this.

This is the video I have been looking for! I can not bend down to scrub my tub because of my back, but I will definitely give this a try! Plus it is natural. Chemicals make me physically ill.

I use that solution with a scrub brush on a long painter's stick. I have 4 ppl using the upstairs shower and two ppl downstairs. Sometimes I sprinkle a little baking soda over the sprayed solution. It is a breeze and comes out even cleaner!

great option, didn't think of or know it, will have to try it. My husband showed me that a light layer of spray-on oven cleaner works too - especially if you haven't cleaned tub/shower in ages - just be sure to run the fan/be well ventilated.

I will definitely try it cause the tub is clogged and it's pretty nasty. So fingers crossed. I love your sense of humor!!!!

Try using Curcumin for your aching joints. Works great. It is anti-inflamatory and thins the blood. Many, many other benefits as well. I take 5 -6 a day to help ol' Uncle Arthur in my ankle and it does the trick.

That's really a great recipe. i had to wear a mask, because I started to wheeze. I sprayed the whole tub and tiles around it. It took a lot of spraying, to rinse it off and I did have to get some spots with a washrag. It got my old unidentified plastic tub clean. I will use this recipe again. I bought many products but nothing worked at all. So thanks bunches!

DAWN is amazing!! I have been using this super cleaner for a few years, I absolutely love it. I don't heat the vinegar up, it didn't make a difference in how it worked for me. I call it a De-greaser and Soap Scum Remover. Along with my bathroom, I use it to deep clean my kitchen, it removes the grease from my BBQ. I love love love it. Blue Dawn is awesome, I also use it as my All-Purpose cleaner (add 2 tablespoons Blue Dawn to a clean spray bottle, fill to top with warm water, that's it - works great, no harsh chemicals/odours, no need to pay $3-$5 for a bottle of stinky All-Purpose cleaner). I too have health issues that prohibit me from scrubbing the tub and my diesel mechanic hubby comes home filthy after a hard day of work. Every couple of days my tub needs a big scrub. Occasionally it requires two or three applications to remove the dirt but I never have to scrub. Just spray, leave and rinse, repeat if necessary. My hubby agrees it works great, he says it's so clean it's like showering with roller skates - slippery clean!

Seems like you found a winner! I bought one of those scrubbys on a stick that extends out for those times one needs a bit of scrubbing. Cost around $6 at Wal-Mart.

Thank you for sharing hon! I've shared it so my friends and family as well. Isn't great how it makes it so much easier to clean ! I have a bad back so I know how painful it can get. I've found this method to work wonders on the tile of our shower. Since our water comes from a well it tends to be rather hard , which causes soap scum build up rather quickly. I believe that the reason why most DIY cleaning methods that use Dawn say to only use the Original blue Dawn , because the scented ones aren't as strong when it comes to taking off stains and oils.

I spray my tub with a different store bought cleaner and take my broom I use for scrubbing the floors to it, but definately going to try the mix you suggested. Try a broom for scrubbing, it works great in lots of places.

Absolutely going to try it but I’m handicap and I use a handle that you can twist different brushes on and it works might want to try.

I clean it as soon as I am dressed as it's still warm and a simple washcloth keeps it sparkling, same as the shower cubicle. My mother told me that years ago and it works.

wow, it really does work no scrubbing no more back aches. I didn't have blue Dawn but I did have green Dawn and white vinegar even though I used the green Dawn it worked I was flabbergasted it's now my best buddy for cleaning the tub. 😁

Just tried this and it worked although I used whatever dish soap I have available. It still worked. Microwaved vinegar to almost hot then added dish soap.
