How to know you're severely outclassed in a fight: 1. Your opponent doesn't even bother looking at you 2. Your opponent doesn't bother moving 3. Your opponent gives you a speech on not giving up mid-fight 4. Girls faint just from watching you get crushed
+Just Some Guy with a Mustache Well, based on the whole Skill-Out arc I'd say most of the Level 0's crying about how hard life of a Level 0 is is mostly teenage angst, insecurity and jealousy. Which really isn't that weird, seeing how Academy City is basically a metropolis completely filled with teenagers.
MitsuruX the thing was to what ive understand misaka was lv1 same as uiharu (her powers arent really that strong) but she worked her way up and even get to top 3 in the lv5's ranking system so she knowa thier pain well enough she went thru hell (i suppose to get where shes at) granted lv1 and level 0 is a gap but not by much uiharus ability isint that strong ....... however misaka is a living proof that someone can get stronger just by doing thier best
Misaka grew stronger she knows whats it like to be weak shes been there thats also why she dosent look down on people with no ability heck she was going all out trying to kick toumas ass lol
Nobody just becomes an esper at a high level from the getgo, a lot of funding goes into working them all the way up. Mikoto has been a level 5 proper for at most a year before Railgun begins though, if I'm not misremembering the math. She's far less of a prodigy than Accelerator.
she wasnt level 5 from the get go she was lv1 im pretty sure she just worked her butt off thats why she never look down on lower level or level 0 for that matter
Sure, but how much of it was innate talent as well? There's a reason why even academy city had their eyes on her from the beginning rather than other lvl 0s or lvl 1s.
In theory rail gun is a weapon that has almost infinite amount of kinetic power as long as you have energy enough to put whatever mass in front to accelerate through rail for launching it away (as long as the rail long enough, as long as the mass don't ran out, and as long as there an energy to feed the whole process). All of this is why rail gun can be in theory the strongest of all projectile weapon.
The every fight misaka is in, well as far as I've seen...... She's not really using her full strength and I mean her completely absolutely full strength!
Level 5's are capable of being city possibly country destroying espers if they push their limits. A level 6 is supposedly a planet busting threat. Not even mentioning accelerator is capable of affecting the planets rotation with his powers already it says a lot about how op our chars really are.
There wouldn't be a next episode if she go all out, the only characters left whould be Touma accelerator everyone inside the windomless building and anybody outside japan Even them Mikoto had gone pretty close to her limits, in one of the paralel reality created by Othinus where she bust half the planet in a serious attempt on killing touma
Mikasa will forever be my fav character. I hope the third season does her justice and the creators give her the story line and development she deserves.
Its moments like these that I love about anime. they put so much groundwork getting the audience to understand certain things about the characters, the story etc that the moment you see something as simple as a coin flip in an intense fight YOU KNOW its about to get hype
It really is scary how this is only a very small fraction of a level 5's power I mean in the manga she managed to creat a lightning storm so strong and massive to ripped a giant airplane (or whatever you wanna call it) to pieces and came out over all with just a few scratches and breathing as if she were a bit tired, all of that after she had just fought several enemies...their power is really terrifying.
I was sad when I saw this in the wiki: "Misaka Mikoto, as she started from Level 1 and apparently worked her way up to Level 5; she is presented as proof that with enough hard work and determination, anyone can become a powerful psychic. However, because of the existence of Parameter List, she was already predicted to attain Level 5 at a young age, as is maybe the reason why researchers came to take her DNA knowing full well of the potential she showed at such a young age." "Furthermore, Hamazura Shiage found proof that Academy City was preventing the majority of espers from developing their powers via the Parameter List." In other words, the students in the video really can't become like Misaka. :(
i had a feeling that was the case when i was remembering the summer remedial classes that the kids who used the level upper had to take i was just like "isn't it cruel to just have them try to work for something they won't be able to achieve?"
It is a sort of sad truth that must be accepted. Hard Work goes a long way, and without it Misaka would have never reached Level 5 status. However, some people just have more innate talent in certain fields.
All lvl 0's= everyone in real life who just can't win or do as well as others. This was my favorite moment in the whole 3 series so far. Misaka understands what their going through and knows that the lvl 0's think themselves as damaged.
As a fellow nobody in life, I couldn't help but feel the same. The rants of those Level 0s in that scene felt so relatable... maybe a bit too relatable...
I wonder how she would be able to understand something like that tho? Considering she was gifted enough to be able to become a level 5, I dont see how she could possibly understand what that would be like
I dunno why, but this scene speaks to me deeply everytime I watch it. It feels like I'm one of the Level 0's in society who lacks all the necessary skills much less talent to be successful, and then I'm facing a Misaka, my conscience and ideal self telling me that I can't just give up on my dreams. "Quit moping around here. Stop lying to yourself and (try) once more!"
Perhaps that is because Misaka is an image of a successful but compassionate person in real life, and she speaks to the persons that feel like they're trash ? I'm perfectly sure that is what the mangaka wanted to say to the readers and watchers of this fight.
@@danielhariss3519I wrote this a long time ago and mostly forgot but It was something about Spoilers: In the LN, and Index 3 you leave about the parameter list. Basically, Academy City already knows who will level up, and only gives their resources to those select few. Most level 0's, no matter how hard they work, will never reach level , because they inherently can't. This makes Misaka telling level 0's to "try again" or "work harder" insulting. She was born gifted, rich and given every possible resource needed to grow. No amount of pure hard work will let them become like her.
@@lancetlo Nope almost everything that has well direction is a vector in a sense, and even if there are things without vectors such as mental attacks they would still need to make contact with accelerator in some way which includes using a vector
If You read Index novels You can realized that the AIM Burst Is a really an artificial angel but an imperfect One because His inestability, the perfect version Is the person we know like Kazakiri Hyoka o Fuse Kazakiri
It's an artificial angel, she's an artificial angel, you're an artificial angel, I'm an artificial angel?! Are there any other artificial angels I should know about?!
its honestly why I find touma's power boring. its too simple. it might work if the setting was simple, but its not, the rest of the anime's world is incredibly complex...and then there's touma's power. idk, its just boring to watch.
bonzwah1 What makes the Imagine Breaker cool is the fact that his arm is basically a cheat in that world. That and the fact that it holds back the Invisble Thing. And Accelerator would have also made mince meat of it.
NirvanaFrk97 that they added more to it is pretty cool. its simplicity in combat is still boring and often poorly handled though. accelerator post-headshot is way more interesting, due to its complicating limitations.
NirvanaFrk97 well sure there's the character development, but the real reason he got shot in the head was to make his power more interesting. it was way too simple before...much like touma's
Misogi Kumagawa Level 5 is so weak in the grand scheme of this series that it's funny XD. The fact that she's not as unstable as the others would actually imply that she's one of the more average Level 5's in strength. Her versatility is what granted her the degree of research value that bumped her up to #3, just under those two completely broken espers. They aren't ranked by combat capability or power level in the least. Though seriously though, the Gods laugh in the face of a level 5.
+natchu96 True but not entirely. She was able to fight on relatively equal footing with one of the 20 saints in the entire world, which is a feat in itself considering she's just middle school age, whereas even Touma is older than her. Not to mention Misaka is not a conventional level 5 in that she started as a Level 1, which does stand to reason she could grow even stronger in time (especially with the combat experience she's been getting up until this point and beyond.)
well it took a few tries to get a stable AIM angel and boy, when the reason Alister made them comes in, it's a thing, hopefully yall will see the true reason Alister made Fuze Kazakiri in index 3!
it still, after all these years, bothers me that they mistranslated this: "I didn't get dragged into this." should be: "I didn't mean you might get hurt by him." "I decided to get involved..." should be: "I mean you might get hurt by me." sort of.
+RougeDragon “Blazing” whiteFlame *HEAVY SPOILER AHEAD:* Due to merging her mind and power with the remaining 10 thousand clones, Misaka pretty much becomes level 6. However, she loses human appearance, her personality, and rational mind when shifting into the level 6 mode.
Spoilers, obviously. Gensei gets control of Exterior, which normally boost's Misaki's power to the point where it's higher than what a level 5 should be able to do. Gensei then uses it on Misaka to see what happens when they make a level 6. Earlier in the show with Accelerator it's explained he is the only one who can become a level 6, but he's the only one who can become a stable level 6, not 6 in general. Had Gensei's plan succeeded then Misaka would've turned into a level 6 for a fraction of a second, blown up academy city, then promptly died.
Nah, it's been a little while since I read the manga, but basically Misaki beats Gensei in a fight, and makes him lose the ability to use Mental Out. Can't remember exactly why but this caused Misaka to stop trying to murder everything for a little, which gave Touma (with help from Gunha, the 7th level 5) the opportunity to get close to Misaka and use his hand to stop the rampage that Gensei caused her to go on.
@Kamijou Medi more like clowns projecting their own real life deficiencies on a fictional character. There's a way to criticize a character, and then there's this
In my opinion, why Misaka can shoot coins into a railgun is because of her ability to manipulate electromagnetism and change the metal coin into a north magnetic side, meanwhile the thumb that flicks the metal coin is changed into a north magnetic side too so there is a very powerful repulsive force between thumb and coin then the coin will automatically shoot like a super fast bullet called a railgun
It's kinda sad when you learn about the existence of the Parameter List. These people work so hard to improve, yet their potential has already been decided and their progress locked controlled by Academy City.
@@addzay3135 no, it's more like Academy City adults deciding to save their resources and destroying lives of the students indirectly by weeding out some.
I only just realised this, but when it's Saten-san's voice saying "sono kitai ga, omoi toki mo aru no desu yo", she's saying the exact thing she said to Misaka before, when she was talking about being a level 0. It means "there are also times when those expectations are really heavy". Also, Misaka didn't say "I decided to get involved myself", the translation is more like "I'm not saying you'll get caught up ITS attacks, I'm saying you'll get caught up in MINE” which is a hell of a lot cooler
While Touma *can* murk AIM Burst, the only point he can stop a railgun attack is when she's preparing to fire; once the coin leaves the "barrel" it's pure physics and he's charred meat chunks.
Now when I see the scenes with the AIM Burst, I have to wonder if Saten (herself a Level 0) transformed into a hideous creature while in her coma! I have to fucking seriously consider that now!
Nope. Closest we've seen is before she fights accelerator when she makes an emp that shuts power off across half the city. By accident. Spoiler Later in Season 3 we will see her at the theoretical limit of how strong she could one day become. Albeit with virtually no control due to the context.
Always wondered why Misaka didnt use the iron sand to create her own railgun projectiles. Sure the arcade tokens are cheap and easy to carry but making her own from the environment would look quite interesting as well as be more effective if shaped for the situation at hand.
I would have enjoyed see a match of the Justice League vs Misaka and the rest of the Kamijou faction; even the main justice league members would have trouble going against the AIM burst.
No the justice League would have no problem dealing with the monster but when compared to the other characters in to Aru series you can forget it, they are gonna be seriously outmatched.
To be expected as she is in the Top 3 where there are only 7 Level 5s and known as "Tokiwadai's Ace and The Railgun" Say your prayers if you go against The Railgun
Dew to my research mikoto misaka the electro master and an ace she loves stuff animals like gekoda she is childish even her age is 14 even so she is friendly and trustful friend she has a special power called railgun.
If I had a nickle for every time an AIM based entity was nerfed by Uiharu's direct actions before Mikoto could defeat it I'd have two nickles, which isn't alot, but it's weird it happened twice... but at the very least this firs time? Uiharu didn't pretty much *solo* said being and leave Mikoto with the corpse, all she did was get the antivirus to antiskill so it would be cut off from it's budding network. And then theres jailbreaker Uiharu.. THE LAWS OF PHYSICS ARE MINE, AND THEY WILL OBEY ME!
