@@Nesten-zi1oz No haha, unless he has twice the amount of blood as a normal person. Maybe he's like a Thorny Devil and can shoot it out of his eyes as a defense mechanism...
@@pillgod5043 Reminds me of what Kamijou Touma, the weakest esper, said to Accelerator, the strongest esper when Touma beat him. (Anime is Toaru series).
Good MC personality Good heroine Good fighting Good romance Good story overall I hope this masterpiece will get a second season when 7 star swordsman held
Fun fact to anime only: in the novel is stated that in this singular moment of Itto Shura it wasn't just the 1 minute power compressed in a second, ikki gave up all of his senses in exchange for power which is why his body bleeds, it's not only sheer power pressure backlashing but also him put quiet literally everything in a single slash, he only swing he's blade on the point where the swords would clash .
The science of going completely past your limits actually confirms that this would happen to you in this scenario. If you look at powerlifters who try to break records, often times they will start bleeding seemingly out of nowhere, but in fact they were bleeding from a very small wound (such as a pimple). This is because as blood pressure increases, the pressure against the walls of the veins, arteries, etc. increases. As any type of matter would, blood will travel to the area of least resistance. In Ikki's case, that is all of the wounds and orifices on his body.
The anime shows this very well. Everything fades to black and white as his vision fades, the sound dampened around him, his blood moves too quickly through his body and ruptures. Every sense he has is given up for this one strike.
I wonder how would you make your wounds open up with that much bloodflow flowing through you like, Ikki straight up abandoned all his 5 senses and became one with the blade just to end the tiring fight
With Itto Shura, even if he says he's going beyond his subconscious safety limits, that's still only the case with the eventual breakdown caused by over-straining his body repeatedly for a minute. It's a whole minute, his body still has to hold together to make use of that duration. But if it's just one attack, a single second? Now he can really abandon _everything_ in exchange for pure force. Nothing matters after the one swing, after all. As long as he's not the first to drop, he wins. Turn off senses other than dynamic vision, turn off breathing, produce enough pull to tear muscle and blood vessels alike. Maybe even fracture some bones. The body only needs to last a single move.
I love the final blow and the symbolism of Ikki breaking Todo’s sword. In this world your weapon is a manifestation of your soul. Ikki breaking Todo’s sword means that his soul was stronger and sharper than hers.
I think it's a reference to the episode where they were in kids shelter. Ikki saw how Touka kindly treated and cared about kids like she herself was once. Since that moment he started questioning whether he had a similar source of strength. And his encounter with his father made him even less confident in his resolve. He then realized that his sword infact is not "useless" and there are a lot of people whose hopes it carries and a promise he made with Stella is enough to fight. So, in a sense, Ikki shattering Todo's sword means he is not pursuing abstract goals anymore, now he carries the will of all people around him
@@-kurogane- Not only that, as that old man (Todo's mentor) says, Raikou (Lightning) was actually slower than Todo's Raikiri (Thunder Cutter). But at that last moment, Ikki evolved his Raikou to defeat Raikiri. He then deduces that Ikki's life were full of do or die moments like that and he has to constantly outmatch his past self because that's the path he's chosen.
@@leonmagnus3088 Raikou is the sword art and doesn't evolve here at all. Itto shura (single stroke of hell) the power concentration tech evolved into Itto Rasetsu (single stroke of the demon?) as Ikki squeezed everything he had into one second instead of one minute. Iirc I saw on the wiki that in the novels he does take Raikou further and makes a new sword art called Oikage (chasing shadow) where in combination with Itto Rasetsu and a limit break? he swings so fast the sword's shadow can't keep up.
@@TheHawkblade207 The manga was axed just a few chapters after this scene, I don't know if there is a light novel but if there isn't than there will never be a second season.
We got a second season of Classroom of The Elite, if that can happen we can bring this masterpiece back. It did everything right. Fights, romance, mc, good heroine development, and good animation. I know there's still a chance.
Go buy a few hundred million copies of the source material and you might get your wish, the source material didn't sell well enough to justify a 2nd season sadly
Michele B2 Its an extremely advanced technique that puts a massive strain on your body and mind. Side effect may include nosebleeding profusely, massive hormonal imbalance emotional immunity to shame and death by Snu Snu. Only to be used in presence of a female opponent, or well......male....if that's your thing.
Chi Kim will prolly start reading that soon and i'm not surprised tbh considering how their relationship was in the anime. But please don't spoil it next time.
" I am fighting because I want to beat this noble knight with everything I have" those lines where they simultaneously shout gives me chill every time.
This battle with Itto Shura is the most realistic all out, I've seen in anime. No one else's vains were popped through sheer power going into a single strike
I absolutely love how they both aknowledge that Todo will win if she dodges Ikki. Even more how she decides to take him head on despite knowing how powerful his Itto Shura is. This really is an honorable duel between two chivalrous knights, and that is why-depsite it being finished in a single blow- is better than almost every month-long fight in anime history.
+Josue Vilca Huaranca not rly, she stuck to her pride which is a huge deal for chars like that. CQC is her expertise and as she said she would disappoint herself if she ran from such a fight.
They are both the same, bit they executed romance differently. Asterisk faks around the girls and being that dense protagonist, while rakudai protagonist literally faks the main girl.
well the ASS war was a harem with random episodes having no point but fan service like the pool episode. All the 13-year olds prefer the harem where no romance happens and a self-insert protagonist that is #1 where Ikki is "the worst one." They also don't appreciate the detail that went into this and the fact characters aren't cardboard.
I love this fight for so many reasons. Raikiri knows she can easily win if she dodges but chooses to fight straight on in a fight to see who can truly win. Ikki realizes that he can't beat her with just Itto Shuro so he condenses everything he has in his tank into one attack which most likely broke the sound barrier and his limiter. Stella recognizes all of this. I love when everybody is an intelligent fighter. Ikkis Itto Shuro was the best part of this whole thing.
KY2 AQW huh, missed that. still, gotta be faster (or at least close to) im nowhere near that (this started with how you could beat her) but someone skilled with a longer range weapon surely could
@@wrought-ironheroEMIYA ippo has a natural talent for boxing, he is a slugger & hard hitter. But still that won't be enough to become a boxer but he got the basics by default.
@@wrought-ironheroEMIYA yes I agree, I'm just saying ikki is different, he doesn't have high rank magic or support from his clan he learnt everything by himself.
That 3 minutes animation actually save my life. Watch this whole series out of stress failing my clinical exam due to overwhelming anxiety. Saw this final fight and I took that "run through this extreme moment" personally, slice through every single questions ask by my professor, doctors, and specialist that attend my exam and actually pass the exam.
"Vision, taste, hearing, touch, smell―right now he didn't need any of them. In this instant, he didn't even need to breathe. Abandoning all of those things, he concentrated the strength left over". Ikki is truly badass
Also both received the attacks of their respective opponents as Ikki and Touka actually failed to parry their attack and instead taken lethal damage from the other.
I'm sure we can all agree that the anime we hope get another season are: Overlord season 4 Rakudai Kishi no cavalry season 2 Classroom of the elites season 2 Devil is a part-timer season 2 p.s Also I think we can also agree that carbon copy of this anime didn't deserve a second season before this and also I heard that there may be a season 3 for it
The reason it was cut was because it wasn't as popular, and its manga was cut to bc of editor problems, just a few chapters after this, and they arent animating a light novel
@@TheZoragon I think it was mean't to say that he could stand among the top as another great knight. It's probably cool to a japanese listener as throwing random words from other languages tends to but the native speaker will find it hilarious and absurd half the time.
Yes, the fight was short. So what? There was a time constraint, but instead of giving it up and botching it they actually made the one hit KO much more epic than a lot of the longer fights I've seen. I don't care; I loved the ending, the whole series was amazing, and it NEEDS a second season. So there.
@mondays are shit yes it is. To defeat a genius, what do you have to be? Either an even greater genius or a demon. Of curse its not literal but i like it nonetheless
If you've seen all his fights and how he usually uses itto shura, you'll understand how hyped I was on that "ITTO SHURA!" shout when the fight began. 🥺
This is a super cool fight scene, it subverts your expectations of what a final battle is, it's not a long dragged out battle with a lot of flashy moves, it's two people putting everything into one strike to decide the match.
@@animefan3120 it probably didnt cost much, it was just doing a lot with a small budget. They didnt show any extended fight. It was one strike. It was the meaning behind the strike that powered this fight.
This fight showed me that you don’t a whole lot of combat and what not. All a good fight needs is good animation, amazing music and some awesome dialogue and boom chills
The funny thing is that the audience probably only managed to see them powering up for a few seconds before there was a sudden explosion in the middle of the arena. They would have missed the clash of swords if they so much as blinked at the wrong time.
@@ousamadearu5960 Omg.... You LITERALLY see Todo's sword shatter, they did clash blades, Ikki won because he put all one minute of Ittou Shura into a 1 second swing, meaning it's 100x stronger than a single Ittou Shura, granted they had handicaps so he didn't kill her, but if there was none, she would've died. As for Ikki being wounded, he didn't get wounded by Todo at all, that was from his Ittou Shura now known as Ittou Rasetsu puts strain on his, so much so that it puts him in the hospital for 1 week instead of 1 day.
@@ousamadearu5960 And to top that, he doesn't necessarily mean they have to stand to win, shown from Ikki vs Stella, he was laying down; but was greatly shown who lost. Same result would've happened, you can see that Todo is knocked out and the sword is broken, if he was laying down, he'd be conscious enough to show that he won, or his blade shows it enough.
@@eleesium8407 Its in the LN. Their swords were able to strike the other, but Ikki's willpower was able to become stronger than Todo herself, shattering her own sword in a single strike. Its far obvious with Edelweiss, Ikki's sword was shattered while trying to attack the strongest swordsman, and had to use a fragment of his blade just to graze a flesh wound unto the strongest.
I like how Todo is in light while Ikki is in darkness. Without context you would think Ikki is the bad guy, but if you have seen the anime or read the manga, it would make poetic sense as to why they are there
Ikki, the weakest Knight who was always overshadowed by those who were seen as brilliant geniuses. Todo, someone who many saw as the number one knight, with all eyes and the spotlight on her. That is poetic indeed.
This fight still gives me chills to this day. Both Todo and Ikki was fantastic especially the moment Todo was like If I run from close range, where does my pride go.
I didnt appreciate this masterpiece of a scene when i was 11, but now i know this scene is a masterpiece . 10/10 VA performance, 10/10 visual effects, 10/10 OST, 10/10 animation.
thruth be told, in the manga, it's "With my weakest, i'll beat your strongest!" But they "changed" it cause it didint make "sense" even thou most readers knew what the MC was yelling about :D
"With my weakest, i'll beat your strongest!" Yeah, that does not make sense. Its his strongest move, so clash with full power against each other. If you would clash low vs high and win with the low, you would be way above your enemy xD
Doesn't matter if this fight is only 2 minutes The whole thing was so amazing from BGM to Dialouge to legit just "let the best fighter win" One of my top fights in anime and its not even close
It's amazing how the opening's lyrics line up at the exact moment they start moving towards each other. You can clearly hear the lyrics "運命はこの一瞬で決まるだろう", which means "Fate will be decided in this one moment", which is exactly how the fight is written
I really love how there was no ulterior motives behind the fighters themselves. Just two powerful people who want to test their chops against another powerful opponent to see how strong they themselves are in comparison
+Extenio Not really, he always calm down his power and one hit everything when he want. I still prefer this fight than Saitama fight, kinda boring when you almost unkillable.
For those complaining we didn't get an epic, episode long duel.....you clearly misunderstood the battle. This was the two Noble Knights wanting a fair duel but circumstances beyond their control forced their hands. Ikki wished to face and surpass the greatest of the Knights before him, He wished to duel the ultimate power. He wanted to face the strongest and use all of his strength to surpass her. Raikiri on the other hand, saw strength beyond what system deemed, she saw might within this supposed failure and wished to face him with a similar desire to test the others strength. These two Noble Knights wished to see the others power and bring out their greatest respectively but the Interference from the Kurogane family stopped this. They were ultimately unable to have their great duel. So ? They made the best of their circumstances, all the strength of Ikki's useless power used for one single purpose and the full unrestrained might of Touka's greatest technique were used to keep this duel exactly what they want. They took the results of Ikki's father and said to hell with it, this is their battle. She could've had an incredibly easy win, Ikki was coming at her dead ahead, he would've been easy to beat, she says so herself "I only need to dodge him once and I win", she would've had a confirmed place in "the seven star sword art festival" but she acknowledged Ikki's dream and tested his metal more than happy to lose should it prove Ikki is far more than a failure.
After this fightthey called that technique itto retsura or something like that which meant something about a demon I believe. That part where his eyes turn red in my opinion makes him looks like a demon and I feel it just fits so damn perfectly
She lost with dignity unlike certain bow user jerk..when he about to lose proceed to begging for his life .after try hard to humiliate ikki, cheap shot him ,take other people credits..and sorry for poor english
I cant find anywhere to read the on but does the director or principle finally wild out we kinda get a sneak at it at the end of the manga but it leads to nothing
@@edchinyosh925 Man, that was such a badass moment! Hell, that entire fight was fucking awesome! I really hope we get a sequel or another series that takes place in that timeline.
This fight hit SO HARD. The close-ups on their expressions and just how intense both sides wanted to win is just *chefs kiss*. I come back and rewatch this every now and then and I still get hyped every time.
Damn, facing the enemy with their 100% ability while defending their pride. If Touka avoid his attack she will win the fight but lost her pride(the strongest in close range combat). I'm still hoping for season 2. A Devil is a Part-timer is having season 2 and No Game No Life is going to air again in Japanese TV. So the chance of getting season 2 isn't impossible now.
She didn’t lose her pride. She decided to go face to face with him if anything she had more pride after that because of what she did. People wanted to see her go straight ahead and she did
I recommend you the light novel, this is the final chapter of the anime but they just animated to volume 3 and the novel is now on volume 20, so basically you have a lot of a cool history to read
Some of you may say "What is this?", "That was too quick". I have to tell you, this is one of the most epic fights I have seen in my entire LIFE. It's short, but it doesn't disappoint you. Even now, after finishing it, every time I watch this fight, when the OP starts, my body is assailed by shivers and goosebumps ! THIS IS THE BEST. IT'S AMAZING! I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS ANIME! IT HAS EVERYTHING!
+Jay Lu I'm not saying that this scene sucks, even i must say that this fight is really epic. But, the overall of this anime is too simple, dense and mediocre. And it doesn't matched my type, that's all. That's only my opinion.
There aren't many moments in anime that I would call perfect, speaking as someone who has spent somewhere between hundreds and thousands of hours watching hundreds of episodes, whether it's the effects, the background story up to said moment, the emotions, the hardship, that moment being the absolute culmination of what that character has been working towards. That being said I believe I could count the number of moments I consider perfect on my hands, when Shiro fights Gilgamesh in fate/stay, when Alucard awakens all those souls sleeping within him, when Nanashi fought for his life against Luo-Lang, Kaneki breaking at Jasons' ministrations, Haruyuki flying for the first time, when Kid and Black Star fight the Kishin for that scrap of time, more come to mind but i'll leave it there, this for me ranks among such great moments as these.
+Mas'il Von it's not about the fight itself, which was pretty good, it's about the culmination of the first season, what happened and premonitions of the future, but if you don't think about anything outside of what actually happened, that's good too...
Loga Levaard Really? ... REALLY? You counted TOKYO GHOUL but not Gurren Lagann? .-. Oh, and Kaneki vs Jason was pretty shitty I can say a MINIMUM of 3 perfect moments in gurren lagann -When Simon awakes from his depression -When team gurren comes to fight the antispirals -When the Antispirals "die"
actually its not the same, raiko means thunder while raikiri means lightning and in japan their different because thunder represents a suddent strength release and lightning represents strength released rapidly, in other words xd raikiri is speed while raiko is power xd
most ironic part is Raiko 雷(thunder) 光(light) - light of thunder Raikiri 雷(thunder) 切(cut) - thunder cutter which the technique should be able to cut of the thunder, and yet Toudou lose. (anyway you might say it cut off the thunder but not the light itself, afterall Ikki just done a Limit Break XD)
Almost 6 years passed since I watched this show and the ONLY flaw in this scene is they didn't animate him absolutely decimating the blade of Todou. This show consistently held the value of the honor of a knight through the glory of combat. And nothing tops it but in this moment. The only honorable combat these characters found to have with each other is ONE swing. They put their entire knighthood into that ONE swing. Itto Shura and Raikiri were concentrated in that ONE swing. Because that's what they truly believe to honor each other as knights. No matter what happened in the past or what will happen in the future. As Knights they stood their ground, swung their blade, and brought honor to the OTHER person first before even thinking about their own honor. An ABSOLUTELY insane ending for a show that should have just been your run off the mill "will they won't they fantasy highschool romance".
I dont care what anyone says this fight was literally a couple seconds only but the entire build-up and the way it ended was so well done it gives chills seeing them going hard, I also love the way they acknowledge each other or the way they show it
Todo lost to the Seven Star Sword King Muroboshi because he was afraid of Raikiri and stayed outside of its range (Not really a bad strategy) but Todo knows what its like to put everything into one attack and have the opponents run away from the strike. Ayase actually uses worse tactics than the sword eater himself unknowingly to herself, which is why when she gets her redemption arc it feels waranted just she isn't best girl. Todo isn't best girl as that's Stella no questions asked
