The workshop is the first of the IIPP Mission-Oriented Innovation Network (MOIN) Tools Learning Series: a space of information, resource and knowledge exchange on mission-oriented innovation tools developed in the MOIN community. The event, chaired by IIPP Co-Director Professor Rainer Kattel, focussed on the typologies and trends in mission-oriented policy tools and featured presentations by speakers from two organisations who have developed toolkits on mission-oriented innovation:
• Dr. Ralf Lindner (Head of the Competence Centre Policy & Society, Fraunhofer) on Fraunhofer’s ‘Mission-Oriented Innovation Policy For Transformative Change’ toolbox
• Dan Hill, (Director, Melbourne School of Design, former Director of Strategic Design, Vinnova, and Visiting Professor of Practice, UCL IIPP) on Vinnova’s ‘Mission-Oriented Innovation Handbook’
