A lot of good information. Unfortunately, for someone totally new to Mission Planner, the misplacement of the mouse pointer is really confusing when trying to follow along. If you know why this happened, and would correct it and make another video series, I'm sure many people would appreciate it. You would most likely get more likes and subscribes as well. Another point is that this does not look very professional when representing a company on such a broad platform.
Your videos are great, thanks for this, has been very informative. I have almost finished my mapping drone based on a bixler 2. Just making sure I get everything right before I go crash it again.
Nice vid, thanks! Will have to test the servo commands. I used the kap uav script running on chdk to retract the lens after 20seconds of usb inactivity. (using the tuffwing trigger cable). Using an ixus150(elph140), not sure if those pwm values will work the same way...
hello, great explain videos. I need your help if possible. I make a few mission with mission planner i use a Skywalker and work great, but some times when the plane is in the air and i switch to auto we return to RTL. Do you now what is the problem. Thanks
I have a doubt while creating the auto waypoints in the grid its showing the waypoint numbers only even numbers like 2,4,6,8,10,12 in my mission planner if select the spiral grid in grid options then its showing waypoint numbers normally as 1,2,3,4,5 ,6,7,8,9 what might be the issue please help me to sort it out
Use the do_set_speed and add it before the wp you want the speed to apply to. The command applies to all other wps after it. I hope that this isnt too late ik it is a year after the comment was made but, maybe it will help others.
Hi! I want my UAV to drop a package at a certain waypoint by using the 'DO SET SERVO' command. I do know which servo number I should assign, but I'm not sure which PWM-value belongs to the command. I assume I can find these values in the Radio Calibration tab in Mission Planner. Do I need to assign the lower PWM value to the command? Thanks in advance.
Do you know how to set up the lense to retract on the s110? I have chdk and the e38 script on it. I looked around and couldn't find much on how to retract it automatically (*edit* will watch your part 3). At this stage I'm just going to build a shield. Also, if you know the answer to this will be a huge help to me; If I have cam trigger distance parameter (in parameters list) set to, for example, 10 meters, with the e38 script loaded and plugged into the apm it will trigger every 10mtrs if I just walk around with it. If I set up a mission will it now trigger according to the distance written by the mission or the 10mtrs I have enabled in parameters? Do I need to set that parameter to 0 so it doesn't overwrite the mission cam trigger dist.?
Zac, sorry for the slow reply, it seems that I didn't have email notification for RU-vid comments turned on. Anyway, we have a CHDK script that will put the S110 in playback mode, which retracts the lens immediately if you change a setting in the camera. That said, we found it to still be fairly unreliable and, for that reason, have pretty much switched entirely to the Sony QX-1, which eliminates the retraction issue.
all good thanks for the reply. I'm still going to use the s110 but I purchased a finwing sabre instead which has a raised area away from the ground to protect the camera.
Greetings my friend. Please, if you can help me. I want my drone to take off from point A and move to point B. stay at this point for 10 seconds and then take off and return to point A. thank you very much
You can specify a delay parameter for waypoints. This parameter is in seconds. With a copter, this will cause it to hover while with fixed-wing it will circle.
