Tue Madsen processes iconic vocals from Mitch Lucker.
NAIL THE MIX is an online mixing school created by Joey Sturgis, Joel Wanasek and Eyal Levi - the guys who produced bands like TDWP, Chelsea Grin, Blessthefall, Machine Head, Monuments, Miss May I, Of Mice & Men, Reflections, Born Of Osiris, Asking Alexandria and dozens more of this generation's best metal bands.
Every month, NAIL THE MIX members get exclusive access to the REAL MULTI-TRACK SESSIONS from a REAL ALBUM, and a 6-8 hour live streaming class from the producer who mixed it. These are the actual sessions by bands like Gojira, Meshuggah, Periphery, Opeth, Fall Out Boy, Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember and more - and NTM is the only place in the world you'll get access to them!

I'd give anything to have Mitch back and do one last song with the rest of the band

The secret to singing this song is when you high scream sound as happy as possible and when you low scream as mad as you can

Crazy how his vocals arent as great as youd think it is. His highs sounded insane on the track and now they just sound like basic highs.

you mean compared to new techniques/vocalists etc or hearing them in solo?
@craig3921

@@edunogues23 I'm not talking about technicality. His false chords are just I wouldn't say bad but not great. The flaws of his distortion is hidden by the instruments.

The distortion on the recording really takes his voice to that level we expect from SS. Same thing with Emmure. And honestly most vocalist's. In this case, it's the preamp clipping that's causing it but not really carrying it the whole way. I think the delay in post might be filling in the cracks.

so funny to see deathcore become a fad. back when i was listening to this stuff, NO ONE liked it. now everyone and their mom listens to jobforacowboy and lorna shore. shit is cringe. these bands were so heavily discussed in 2003/2004.. theres no need to talk about them anymore. anyone who knows anything, has already them so many times.. that they dont want to hear them anymore. anyone talking about job for a cowboy and suiciden silence in 2024.. you ever hear of pantera? how about slayer? you gonna tell us how good they are too?

Yea but, 99% of deathcore sonically sounded like ASS back then with a few exceptions. SS being one of them. It's good to see the process as to why.
