Totally relate with the social media gun experts. I posted a picture of a new AR project that I just picked up at the FFL. I got torn apart because the safety selector was on fire with a brand new AR lower receiver only. Incredible how "gun experts" sit eagerly waiting for one little thing so they can flex their knowledge and skillz. 😀

Don't wrestle with pigs... you end up dirty and the pig enjoys it. You guys are awesome ! Examples of hard working, positive men getting shit done right ! Motivation and drive are contagious !

Dutch looks pretty different after taking down the Predator.

I did social media for a local gun shop. We posted pics of our employees as a get to know our staff feature. One fellow wanted his to look like an action movie poster. So we cleared a couple AR pistols and took the photo. The amount of feedback from the gravy seals/meal times 6 was epic. I took it down because it wasn't worth the hassle.

I mitigate douchebags all day, it takes up so much energy. I call them energy vampires, they know exactly what they do.🧛🏻‍♂️

Took a class where Dutch was the instructor. Great class, outstanding dude. He passed on the “finger makes the gun go bang” advise to us and it surprised me but makes perfect sense. We had a safe and effective class working under this paradigm.

I enjoy all your videos. But these little short videos of your day-to-day activities have become my favorites.

Imagine trying to tell an ex unit guy he should prove a weapon clear as if he has any realistic need to. Gun safety is paramount, but so is understanding that these dudes are on a different level than your cousin Rob who was a patrol LEO for 2 and a half years.

It just blows me away that these Armchair DB’s try to call out guys like SGM Mac and SGM Dutch, it’s crazy. In the natural progression of things SGM Mac and SGM Dutch have gone as far as possible as a mortal man. I joined the army at 17, was and Airborne MP at Bragg, Later CID, and Later CIVIE cop, Detective, Supervisor, UC, SWAT/EOD and I would never feel ok trying to call out someone like SGM Mac or SGM Dutch , or any guy at their level, SMU, Unit, ISA that is it , nothing else can be achieved that I know about and to get there probably close to 1 out of 50,000 normal persons make it to that level, maybe even higher. If you want top training you have to find the top trainers that have a real resume , not some shake and bake NRA instructor, real shooters who have executed their jobs for years and then trained new shooters, and then lead all of those people. I don’t waist my time training with wanna bee’s of never have beens , I am looking for skilled trainers with real experience. Some day our lives might depend on it , and some dude that is pointing out minute issues is not going to work and will get you hurt or worse. I have always considered myself lucky to be a law abiding citizen now and to have access to people like SGM Mac and SGM Dutch for training and mentoring is priceless.

I saw a thing about having to ignore certain people that suck every last bit of energy out of what your trying to do. I noticed long before internet that at gun shows particularly, there was a huge amount of self proclaimed gun experts that desperately needed instruction....I hope not to be that guy! Thats why I follow, Im 60 and life long carry and still learning and have a very long ways to go. Credentials are what makes the difference. Having been there and done it. Dont waste your time and energy on idiots. You both have great content.

I don't care what type of content you put online, there is always that crowd who are just itching to jump in and tell you how wrong you are. One of the main reasons I do not put up content aside from what I post on my business page, is that I have zero patience for it. I swear aside from shooting, woodworking attracts the biggest bunch of "experts" willing to tell you how f'd up you are (or will tear down the medium you choose to pursue). Well, I still have all my fingers, so I have that going for me. Anyhow.. Keep your powder dry. Keep on doing you, because I love the motivation you give.

This is absolutely true. I posted a long range shooting video on a cheap super zoom. The highway was visible in the background (3 miles away). The amount of people who said in the comments that I was going to hit a car and that I was an unsafe shooter was unreal. This is a well-known 1000 yard range by the way.

I was thinking of taking some pictures of some woodwork I was doing. As I staged my picture, I thought about it and thought "Fuck this. I don't want to clean my garage for a damn picture."

Idk whats the matter with some people on the internet. Yeah safety and looking good is important and all that. But you gotta be allowed to be a human being. Make mistakes, allow slip ups, have garbage in the drive way... And tbh, especially with T1 vets like PatMac and similar skilled people, when the weapon has become an extension of the body through a lifetime of training and expertise they could manipulate live weapons and ammo around me all day without me even getting nervous. Those guys have an insane level of skill and muscle memory imprinted so deeply, us normal keyboard warriors will probably never acqure, and they would probably have to deliberately act to mess up. I personally don't care too much about "things to find" and I am grateful for free educational content, especially coming from a source like this.

Social media is a lose lose situation, most of the time. For the people who post, they deal with shit like Mac talks about, but then, if they're a guy like me, who doesn't post, because I'm not famous, or an ambassador, or influencer, or anything, then we're "trolls", or "bots", or whatever. I've asked legitimate questions, that I didn't know the answers to, to try to learn where the person was coming from and got hammered, because my account is private and I don't post. So it was automatically taken as, I was attacking them. I'm glad social media isn't a necessity in my life, that's all I know.
