Easy replacement of the turn signal switch. AutoZone wanted $93 plus tax and I was able to get it from Amazon for $60 and free shipping. its now listed for about $30 amzn.to/2xJrVuY
I was expecting the column a nightmare to get into, but that looks so easy! The sprayer switch just broke on mine, Looks like I can change it over the weekend!
Thank you so much! Your help was perfect. I changed my own turn signal switch within 10 minutes all because of you! I'm amazed at the random helpful things people post and how helpful they really are! So thank you again. The hardest part was trying to get the switch out and you explained it perfectly. It worked like a charm!
Super useful! I managed to jury rig mine for a while by wrapping up a nail in some duct tape and shoving it into the hole and connecting the stalk to it.
Omg I just fixed my turning signal myself and saved money from paying someone else to do it... And I'm a female. So if I can do it, ANYONE CAN!!!! Thanks for the easy instructions... GRATITUDE
I guess over time they wear and become brittle. Had issues with both the turn signal switch and the wiper switch for my 2000 Mitsubishi Galant. Replaced both of them for less than 70 bucks. Found them on Amazon. Thanks for the tutorial. It helped a lot.
Thanks a lot bro!!! Got it on eBay for $26 and did this switch out in less than ten minutes. I had a piece of paper wedged in the switch to keep it from signaling left for months thinking I had to save up for repair. Thanks again!
Thank you!!! I went on ebay and lucked out with one for 17.00 bucks.. followed this video and now have a working blinker swithc!!! thanks to you! If it wasnt for you I probably would have thought it was way too hard to do and spent an arm and long paying someone to do it!!
Definitely search the salvage yards too. I love them, it's like the flea market of car parts. I've been restoring my galant little by little from there. I go when they get a new galant and I look for nice condition leather seats, non cracked dash, clean carpet, ect. Not sure how much they charge for that switch but if I can buy a whole driver seat and carpet for 25 bucks out the door it probably is 5 bucks or free. Sometimes they don't care to charge on small parts. Excellent instructional video!
Looks like this will help me with my 00 Eclipse GT. Broke in the same spot, I've been using a pencil for weeks! I got lucky and was able to score a used one on eBay for $25. Thank you for the video!
Ty switch failed made a circuit to headlights and they were on even with the switch off and the key out killed the battery heard the ECU clicking pulled the switch and killed a short very fast thank you very helpful video
How did you fix this issue? I've put two new switches in mine and am having the issue with lights staying on and brights coming on when car is off. Also killed the old battery.
Saw the video, read the notes, researched the part #: MR558806, got $110 from Mitsubishi (tax included), found it online for 1/3 the price from RockAutoParts (shipping was very reasonable & fast). Watched the video when I got the part and OMG I was able to put it into my car and it works perfectly. Not bad for a man over 60, thank you very much for putting this video on line, thank you.
Thanks for the video! I have a mirage which most parts between the two are interchangeable. I went to advance auto parts and they wanted 149.99 searched google for the part picked it up for 49 bucks.
Cool! I'm about to change mine out. Tried to southern engineer it w/super glue, but the grease around it kept on working against it. So I've gingerly duct taped it for now. Got my replacement off Amazon for 30$+$6 shipping too ^_^
Unfortunately this doesn’t apply to the 2010 model :( there are another pair of screws that seem unreachable on the front between the cover and the steering wheel. Still trying to figure out a way to remove them :/
Thanks for the video. I just replaced my after I found it on ebay for only 19 Bucks. The part # is MR558806. Search for that on ebay if you don't have access to a local Junkyard.
I'm having problems with my 2001 galant, the dashboard and tail lights take too long to turn on, it could take up to 10 minutes, could it be the switch?
