★三菱ギャラン ヴィエント(E35A)に関して
ギャランシリーズの6代目として1987年に登場、居住空間を重視した高い全高、巨大なメーターをはじめとして内外装ともに個性的なスタイリングであるとともに、現在では常識となったダイヤル式空調スイッチ、グリップ（把手）式ドアアウターハンドル、親指以外の4本の指をスムーズに入れられる大型インサイドドアハンドルなど、日本車に先駆けて採用となったものも多い。
1989年、スポーツシートやリアスポイラーなどを装備した「ヴィエント（Viento）」が登場、搭載される水冷直列4気筒DOHC16バルブエンジンは、1836ccの排気量から、最高出力135ps(99kW)/6300rpm、最大トルク16.2kg・m(159N・m)/4500rpmを発揮した。
