UPDATE NOTE! In the video I say a lightfast version however PR176 Carmine by Daniel Smith is only a Lightfast II Very Good Lightfastness pigment and therefore this version will be no more lightfast than the original. My apologies for my mistake I am working on an actual lightfast mix and will share it when I have it and update here too!
Ready to mix your own Moonglow? This popular Daniel Smith watercolor has been shown to fade in independent testing, however in this Monday mix we are mixing moonglow. Do we come close enough for you to give this one a try, join me and let's find out. For a lightfast version try PBk31 Perylene Green, PB29 Ultramarine, and PV19 Quin Rose I have been successful mixing these three and coming as close as the mix in the video.
I am using my Daniel Smith watercolors on some Bee Inspired watercolor paper with one of my Princeton Velvetouch brushes.
