Simple parts used from ACE Hardware store, i would recommend cutting the plate. and then mounting it and measuring the coils before you get the specific spacers from ACE. To ensure better fitment.
Other option is to buy bracket already made from SR-FAB OR FORNARI RACING

I'm working on a similar bracket for my 7m. Try running threaded studs on the 4 corners of the bracket and 2 in the middle (the studs would keep the valve covers held down and keep you from having to untorque the valve cover to remove the coil bracket) and then throw some washers or spacers inbetween the valve cover and bracket to raise that bracket up a little so the coil bolts can torque down without distorting the coil boot

@@-LFATV This sheet is much too thin. It should be at least as thick, as the bolt diameter, tacking a nut will be definitly a better idea.

You could also do nut inserts for the coil mounts so the bolt threads have more bite

I think I got the 14mm hex from Orielys or harbor freight cant remember. Was worth it but thats a good idea as well. edit; good outcome way easier to work on and rigid.

just bought everything for the COP is300 setup for my 7m, wish i went this route after seeing and reading all about it yesterday. For now I'm still on stock ecu so will run them until i go standalone (happening real soon with new wiring harness being built). Love the vids man, has helped me with certain details but more so to never give up! Anything I should be forewarned about by doing the is300 setup? how did you like it? I'm only thinking of keeping car around 500hp and then go into suspension mods. THanks!!!

Any ideas on how to get crank pulley off while engine is on stand? Tried this weekend with 2 bolts on the back side with a wrench and bent one of the fly wheel bolts before I gave up. Also tried a 1000ft lbs impact with no luck. This is holding up my refresh/rebuild

hoho207 use a crow bar to do the two bolt method. Worked for me when I was doing my 2jz build.

dont you think you might get heat soak from the metal bracket between your head and on your coils?? ABS Plastic should do the job too without so much heat transfer id think. Have you had any issues yet?

Man i have a 1990 mk3 7mgte and cannot get spark everything else works i was told it the ignitor i want to get rid of the whole ignition system for something thats has less problems any suggestions pls help have had this car 10 yrs and im tired of mechanics trying to scam me out of it
