You really have to be a high tier player with exceptional spacing skill to use him well. He's the kind if player that rewards great play. Really hard to play if you're a beginner or intermediate well or consistently. Which is why we don't see people at the top use him much now.

@@MAlru005 Many people thought like that at the beginning of Ultimate like Mr.E, but Lucina is undisputably better. Both MKLeo and Mr.E dropped him for Lucina.

@@averagejoe9229 Both players think that Marth theoretically is a better character, however in practice the lack of consistency w/ tippers means that Lucina usually ends up performing better. In the hands of a player who can consistently get the hitbox they want, Marth is a better character. It's just that that player doesn't really exist.

@@Cheesesteakfreak Just my opinion. Even if Marth is worse than Lucina he is still a solid high tier character that's better than at least half of the roster. Depending on the way they buff him he could basically stay the same or be very broken.

SwordMaster9501 its general opinion at this point that he is mid tier now, the problem is he has top tier potential but also low tier potential. He isnt consistent enough to be high tier (roy is quite consistent) i agree dancing blade and dair are better due to kill power and hitstun, f tilt it depends on matchup (how they space) f smash is too laggy for the other guy to let them sit there spacing it out

Can you do bomb loops? That’s the hard link tech, also he probably only said that because when link players are at a deficit they tend to play more campy
