I've heard so much about MLB wanting to improve the game. One of the best things they could do is to curtail the power of the umpires. If a player or manager simply says something the umpire doesn't like he can be thrown out of the game, and that is beyond ridiculous.
It’s necessary. If you don’t eject, then the other team is gonna think the original guy is starting to win you over and get his way, and that’d be a disaster. If you allow talking, you have to have a short leash.
i’m still surprised that none of the players have tried to use their bats to swing at the umps. obviously they’d get fined and suspended or just blacklisted from the mlb, but i’m still waiting for it to happen
I love the Game But I'm on the down hill now getting up in age I may not see it but mark my words a umpire is going to get hurt really really bad if not killed one day its coming
Umpires, by design, are to have zero mic time (except for announcements/calls) and minimal camera featuring outside of the normal state of play. Any umpire who gets into it with a player has an ego too big for his position. Also, I wish the pitches were shown too. These have no context
MLB need to bring the women umpires to see who is the first manager or player to confront one of them and tell her that she is full of bull crap 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love how the loser homer announcers are all indignant. "Why can an umpire point a finger at a player?" they ask, but never explain why their player is allowed to point a finger at the umpire. Multiple times.
Who says you can't call into question a person's ability. It happens all the time in the rest of the world why not baseball. There needs to be a review board for umpires. If you're a major league screw up like Angel Hernandez you need to be gone.
You ever umpire? I doubt it try it sometime like little league? Parents are great you always have a lot of umpires in the stands who can see and know all the rules try umpiring ….z ur not going to please everyone oh yeah don’t forget it’s for the kids!
