In his era they didnt, but i think its a side effect of the current pitching aspect of the game where pitch movement and velocity are the forefront since you really only need to put in a few innings
sometimes balls get away. yeah most of these guys should stick a hand out and apologize. but it's still baseball. anyone who's ever pitched a baseball knows sometimes the ball gets away from you.
85mph pitch was painful. It takes alot of adrenaline to make pain disappear. They need to change the rules a bit when pitchers intentionally hit batters
I don't even watch baseball, but your comment is spot on. I don't understand the pitchers hitting a guy with a baseball because their buddy hit a home run off of the pitcher. Also, quit stepping in front of the batter - let him go after the pitcher, get a little hockey action going. It's sort of funny because they all know they will get "stopped" before they get to the other guy.
There should be a rule that if a batter gets hit by a pitch. The pitchers gets to put his glove down stand like a batter and the batter can pick up a baseball and throw it back to the pitcher. See how quickly these cowards stop messing around.
Maybe it's just me. Maybe it's the fact I don't watch on a regular basis. Maybe I'm just missing something. But.... You're not about to throw something at me at 90+ MPH and I just take a base. Maybe I have unchecked anger issues. I'm just astonished no ones ever launched their bats back at them... Cause I'll be damned
I mean, pitchers are often times the biggest guys on the field. Seriously, avg pitcher is like 6'4, 220. Alek Manoah who is in this video is 6'6", 285lbs. So its really easy to say that from your couch. 😂😂
They very rarely do. Most of the guys in this video were accidents. If it is on purpose its always because the batter did something to piss off the other team.
@@AD-df5tm - Okay thanks... I still think that is a horrible way to "get back" at a guy though. I take it that the pitchers don't have to get up in the batter's box then. I appreciate the answer....
I always enjoy when it's someone from the bench that takes over the chirpping & gets more aggressive then the player hit its hilarious especially since it's almost always some unknown bench player who comes storming out and takes over for the hit player as if they person were hit & not the player that was.
mlb is like the nba & nfl to full of over inflated egos of talentless players who are overly sensitive or insecure. Its like come on if you're going to charge the mound or do something do something other wise just walk to the base maybe talk a bit on the way down but don't just stand around trying to get attention with a fake angry face on especially when your clearly not going to do anything. Be a man & either brush it off signal to the other pitcher & team it aint no thang or do what you got to do to feel better.
You stand over a plate where pitchers are throwing in the 90's and you're surprised that the pitcher doesn't have complete control? The game is won on runs, so if you get to first, then to second and there's another hit, you just scored. It's only pain, it goes away. Just shut up and take your base like a man, fer Christ sakes. Geez.
I remember when I used to play the picture hit me in the head with a fastball I ran to the picture and I beat him up with the bat. And I continue to swing the bat not even my teammates could get close to me. I got suspended for 2 years when I came back pictures only through strikes. No picture ever dare hit me again they knew what was coming.
